Boots Opticians Liverpool - Clayton Square

The staff were initially lovely. I made the mistake of informing the optician that I am autistic. Do not inform them if you have a health condition, their attitude changed and they turned nasty. They need to be educated and have awareness of people with a health condition and not be negatively judgemental. I would never recommend them to anyone or use them again.

Manager Tracie went to a lot effort to successfully arrange an eye & contact lens appointment atshort notice after I was let down by another branch. Ryan, James and Katie who dealt with my treatment were pleasant, approachable, professional and efficient. One of the best opthalmic appointments I have experienced.

Routine annual eye test, but felt my reading glasses needed changing. Visiting family and couldn’t get eye appt until Oct in Cambridge. Optician suspected I had a retinal detachment, despite having no real symptoms. Referred me to St Paul’s eye hospital immediately where it was confirmed. Returned to Cambridge immediately for treatment. Consultant in Cambridge said I had a very rare type of detachment, he usually only sees one a year. Very difficult to diagnose and visualise. Told me I was so lucky to have seen such an excellent optician. He probably saved the sight in my right eye. Mr Khokhar I cannot thank you enough.

Having attended for an eye examination at Boots in Clayton Square, Liverpool in 2017, I was immediately referred to the ophthalmology specialist at Aintree Hospital. I have a benign nevus which is an eye freckle on the back of the eye. During my appointment at Boots eye opticians, a lovely lady explained what she was doing during each stage of the testing performed. I was able to view my eye photographs on the computer. I was reassured it by the optician that the freckle would not damage my sight. She explained that she thought l had nevus (eye freckle.) She was correct first time. I am sincerely grateful to the optician and all staff for treating me with such care and due attention. I felt very reassured and safe in their exceptionally capable hands. All staff are very knowledgeable and professional. Thank you everyone. I have continued to use Boots as my number one eye optician as I feel very welcomed when I attend for yearly check -ups. My work takes me all over the world, but I still return home to my home city because of the care afforded to me past and present. This year in February 2018 I attended again, needing an upgrade on prescription. I also had vertigo at the time of attending and staff treated me with great respect, care and profesional reassurance. I subsequently went back the following month for another check; and to re-check that my new prescription was perfect. I purchased lovely very modern glasses which are fabulous. Every member of staff who cared for me, my eyes and vertigo were sincere, respectful and understanding of my condition. Thank you again to every single one of you for taking first class care of me.

Sabrina spent a great deal of time with me and gave excellent advice so that I was able to select a pair of prescription sunglasses that met all of my needs.
