The only issue I have with the Boots opticians is trying to make an appointment by phone is very difficult. It took over 20 minutes to book an appointment to collect my glasses. I was passed from one number to another which sent me back to the starting point. The staff at the store were most helpful and afficent, especially Hannah, who went the extra mile to get me the glasses that I required.

Waiting time was slow. Seemed a real miss match in communication between the staff doing the initial tests and the optician. Best part about the experience was Hannah. Lovely lady, really gave me some fantastic advice on specs. She really did have a lot of knowledge which was good to see. She never stopped the entire time I was there (unlike some other members of staff). Thank you Hannah.

A young lady called Lyn did the fitting of my glasses which is a very complex prescription. She was very professional and took great care to make sure everything was right. When I picked my glasses up she again did an excellent job to make sure everything was right. I would recommend her to anyone as she does such an excellent job and welcomes you as a friend

The optometrist was very informative and helpful and Becca who assisted when choosing the frames and advising on coatings etc seems absolutely perfect in her role.

I went to the Prospect Centre store to select some new spectacles having had an eye test in Lincoln at the weekend but didn't have time then. I was greeted immediately on entry by Laura but I had to wait a few minutes before being seen by her. She helpfully pointed me to the Boots own brand and designer frames to have a look at while I was waiting. When she was free she actually came to find me to see if she could help choose my frames - which she did, taking care over the choice and explaining why she preferred one over another. As I was not on their system Laura input my details. When it came to inputting my prescription she had difficulty in reading one of the measurements but went to phone Lincoln to clarify what it said to ensure she got it right. Laura discussed my options as regards lenses. I was looking for varifocals and she guided me through my choices explaining things clearly and helping, but not pushing, me into a decision. She also discussed the option of lighter, thinner lenses and their advantages which allowed me to make an informed choice to take that option. Laura then carefully did the measurements needed and got someone else to check them which I thought was really good. Throughout, Laura was professional and courteous and dealt with me in a friendly, helpful manner.

I just went in to buy a glasses frame. I have been going to spec savers for some time and fancied a change. I was glad I did, as I was served by Avery helpful young lady called Hannah. She helped me pick a frame and advised me. She took the time to do this and I didn’t feel it was rushed. She explained everything from what frame suited me to what lense would be in my glasses. Brilliant service. Thank you.

I always attend Boots for eye checks and new spectacles. Today was pick up the spectacles day - it was not good. I am not a professional and therefore expect to receive skilled appropriate advice form the opticians service. As I left the store the glasses did not seem right, they were stood off my nose and face to such an extent they looked odd. I went for a coffee and noted my vision was not clear when turning slightly to the side - this seemed very odd. I returned to the store and was eventually seen by Lyn the dispensing optician. Lyn new straight away that the spectacles looked cosmetically wrong and did not look as if they belonged to me. Lyn said as the spectacles had been badly fitted they were affecting my middle vision. Lyn was very pleasant. Lyn corrected the spectacles and appeared very knowledgeable. However this is an obvious training issue which wasted a lot of my time. The rest of the staff were very pleasant. However there was one person at reception has an abrupt officious manner not suited to face to face customer service.

Appointment 2.11.17. My optometrist was Nneka and my glasses consultant was Amy. I had a consultation with Nneka before cataract operations on both eyes and again afterwards. On both occasions she was very professional, gave me advice on my options and details of the changes to my prescriptions occasioned by the operations. Amy gave me advice on my glasses types and lens options and I felt that from both colleagues I got the best service.
