All staff that dealt with me were friendly and efficient. They took time to help me when choosing my new glasses. I would be happy to recommend Boots to other people.

My eye test was great , but when I took a pair of boys glasses with me to be reglazed instead of being forced to by a expensive pair of glasses they said it would've being dearer than buying new glasses from them at £150+, for lenses , I said no way and went to vision express who charged £59 , I will not use boots again total ripoffs

I arrived for my previously arranged appointment for a Contact Lens check and Eye Test on Monday 07 August to be told by the manager that she had left a message on my mobile phone on the previous Friday afternoon cancelling the appointment. Apparently the reason for this cancellation because the locum would be leaving early on the Monday. As my mobile was not switched on over the weekend I did not receive this message. It occurs to me that if appointments need to be either cancelled or changed by yourselves then the customer should be given the opportunity to return your message acknowledging that they have received it. Reliance should not be made that the customer has received the message just because you have sent one. The manager failed to grasp this concept. My appointment was subsequently rearranged by the manager for Friday 18 August. When I arrived for this revised appointment I was informed by staff that only either the Eye Test or Contact Lens check could be carried out but not both, as these were the details that had been made. On discussing the unacceptability of this with your Optometrist she agreed to carry out both tests/checks albeit this would cause inconvenience to subsequent customers. I have attended this branch for approximately 15 years now and always found the staff to be helpful, courteous and attentive, hence my reasons for returning. On this occasion both the Optometrist, Sheena Tee, and Assistant, Melanie, carried out there duties, as previously done so by other members of staff, in a highly professional and respectful manner. It is a pity that I am unable to make a similar comment about the Branch Manager. Yours, Chris Deighton.
