Boots Opticians Ealing

I have been seen bu Silva , and I recommend people to see her as she is so friendly and helpful person . No comment on the service . It was very easy and comfortable.

Outstanding service and the best optician I have had for years (compared to 4 other local opticians who I tried and who disappointed). Managers in Ealing branch are all examplary and caring like nowhere else, they always tried to accommodate my needs and even fix the problems caused by other opticians (from other companies) and who had messed up the job, yet without criticism to these other firms and while remaining professional and patient at all times. We are lucky to have them in Ealing!

Great staff! Easy to book my appointment straight away. The minute I walked in the store I was assisted by Jemima Garcia from start to end. Well organised and given advised by the Optometrist who examined my eyes. Very friendly with excellent advise on which frame suites my face - affordable price too. I am very pleased indeed with the service. Would highly recommend to people who are needing their eyes to be checked and get glasses, contact lenses etc. in able to have an easy life, rather than struggling to see. Excellent!!!

The eye test was conducted excellently by both staff members. Very thorough. I was then disappointed by the automatic assumption that I would be buying new glasses. I asked about keeping my existing frames but was astonished to learn that this would cost far more than buying new frames. That soured the experience unfortunately.

I had an eye test done at Boots Ealing branch a few weeks ago. Eye test went well, although I felt it took too long and I seem to be moved from one person to another. It took almost 2 hours to complete the test! Following the test results, I was prescribed 2 sets of glasses (one for reading and one for VDU) as this what what i had been used to previously. Bifocals were suggested but i preferred having separate glasses for reading & VDU (as my work involves looking at computer screens all day). Collected both glasses 2 weeks ago. My new reading glasses were perfect, however, with my VDU (intermediate) glasses, i found that I was really straining my eyes to read from computer screen at work. Initially, i though my eyes were adjusting to the new glasses, but after a week and things did not improve, I rang Boots Ealing and explained the issue. I was asked to go back into branch with my glasses which i did 2 days later. The assistant who saw me was the same one who handed me my glasses when i collected them. He asked for my VDU glasses and decided to check against their notes. It turns out the glasses i was given was actually for distance rather than intermediate! I was quite shocked that this was not thoroughly checked, seeing that on my receipt, two boxes were ticked, one for reading and the other for intermediate. The assistant who dealt with me was not terribly apologetic, just saying that someone has ordered the wrong glasses, as though this was something to be expected. This is the first time I am going to Boots for my eye test & glasses and I am shocked at their level of poor service. I will not be recommending them and will not be visiting them in the future for eye test or new glasses.

It’s now ten days since my contact lenses by post were due to arrive. I contacted this branch seven days ago to ask why they hadn’t arrived. I was told that they had been despatched and should be with me. When I repeated that they were not I was told that another set would be sent that day. Neither set has arrived. This morning they confirmed that the second set was despatched seven days ago and that I should wait another two days and there is nothing more they can do. They have confirmed that they have my correct name and address. I guess all I can do is to cancel the Direct Debit.

Wonderful staff members, very attentive, polite and helpful. My Optometrist Raj was amazing. The staff around were great. Couldn't have been happier!

Toilet facilities and maybe refreshments, my appointment last 1 3/4 hours.

The service was amazing from start to finish. The staff were so attentive, so caring and so personal. I felt completely looked after, highly recommend.

Everything was brilliant.
