Boots Opticians Barkingside - High Street

A highly professional and friendly team @ Barkinkside branch. After a rather unfortunate experience at Specsavers (in the same high street) ,it was a breath of fresh air dealing with the Boots team. Their services come highly recommended. MANY THANKS TO ALL CONCERNED !!!

Since this branch has become Boots Opticians, the time it takes to complete an appiubtnent is not acceptable. I was there with my 10 year old daughter today for 1.5 hours and had to leave. I still have to go back and pick her glasses up now! The advisor who served me was friendly but did not explain how the NHS voucher was redeemed clearly so I had to call the manager. I think training is needed on issues like this so time is not wasted. Also, there used to be water available for the patients which is no longer there. I found the process today a bit impersonal.

Boots opticians got good range of selections Of banded names. Personally I think they should bring the prices of the frames down.

I had a couple of additional tests and would have been better to discuss results with me afterwards which wasnt done BY the Optometrist.

Nothing was good, waited 45 mins to see the optometrist despite arriving on time. No apology or explaination. We were in there 1 hour 38 mobs in total all for a child’s eye test! Appalling never going back.

The front end member of staff ( Pedro) could not speak English properly causing issues for my child who has mild ASD. He tried to upsell on a child's glasses and had no awareness of how hard every minute of making eye contact is for am ASD child. Further he insisted that MUST make and appointment for two weeks time ( half term) or I couldn't collect my child's spectacles. I told him this was possible and in my 40+ years of wearing spectacles I had NEVER had this. ( He has also been wearing glasses for a nber of years ) I usually get contacted by the optician and the check the fit on the spot. This includes Boots. I shall find a more flexible and friendly opticians from now on that meets my child's needs.
