I booked an eye test online for 11:30 today, and had an email confirming this. However the store said it was at 11:15 despite the email. There was a contradictory text message that said 11:15. Showed them the email but they offered no help other than to wait in the store on the off chance the next appointment didn’t turn up, or rebook online. Not acceptable that IT issues were blamed, and that I wasn’t at least offered to have an appointment booked in store. I won’t be using Boots again.

I often pop in store for queries and adjustments and the staff are always amazing. They seem to genuinely enjoy and care about the patients and their job roles. All except for one young lady. She has been there for a long time but still doesn't seem to know what she is doing. I have observed her behaviour on a number of occasions and have witnessed her speak wrongly of customers in and out of the store, complain about trivial matters and play on her phone whilst there's a queue waiting to be seen to at the front desk. Not to mention- she has very poor hygiene!!! That is the only flaw I can find, otherwise I am very happy and wouldn't go anywhere else.

My experience with the optometrist was great. Very informative. I arrived 5 minutes early and was seen a bit earlier. I was however incredibly shocked by the professionalism of the staff in the shop. One trainee girl I heard complain at least 5 times about how she was tired; how she couldn't believe it was only 10am; saying things like 'Is it hometime yet?' 'Man I've worked 5 days straight. How can you do this?' I nearly walked out of the shop to get glasses elsewhere as I was so fed up of hearing her moaning. The only reason I didn't was because I get a discount with contact lenses by post. She was unbelievable!

Apparently the file of my first visit (December 2015) got lost or at least they couldn't find it. This was a big surprise as I booked my second appointment after I received 2 reminders from Boots. How is that even possible. My name should definitely be in your system.
