The out of hours service was excellent. The receptionist was very helpful and calming. Ron Wilkinson who dealt with me was very compassionate, empathetic and down to earth in his style.

Unfortunately, when I got to the hospital I was directed to the wrong department. They sent me to a and e instead. I politely explained to the receptionist that I had come to see the out of hours doctor and I had an appointment. I was briskly told to wait for the triage nurse . Luckily I saw another nurse who redirected me to the correct department. If the a and e receptionist had only listened she would have realised I was not in the right place! I know that nhs is under a great deal of pressure at the moment but I was already feeling quite ill and this episode wasted a lot of time. Otherwise thd nhs are doing a great job!

The secretary and the Female Doctor were pleasant, kind and understanding. Just what you want when you are feeling tense etc

I dont have a condition

As the room was full and it is 1 person only unless in exceptional circumstances, there should be seats outside the waiting area as my daughter needed me at the appointment. The only seeting area is at the end of the corridor and you cant hear the dr shout when diwn there.

None of the above. I went as blood was coming up and I was scared it was an ulcer

I felt like the nurse I saw wasnt interested and made me feel like I was wasting her time.

I was in severe pain with an open wound/abcess on my little toe. They were unable to prescribe any stronger painkillers (understandable) but were unable to give any help or advice as to how to reduce the pain. As this had been going on for 5 weeks they told me I need to make an appointment with my GP.

Could have provided advice on how to reduce pain or how to manage the pain.

My appointment time was 10pm. I was not shouted till after my appointment. The doctors was so friendly and polite. He made me feel really comfortable and confident that I could explain my problem. I mentioned I suffer from anxiety when having to attend appointments on my own and he asked if I wanted someone else in with me. I told him it was fine but this really was a nice touch. You should be proud to have him as part of your team. He was really caring and made me feel so at ease.

Nothing really other than ran on time but I understand appointments run over and there’s also emergencies and the amount of stress on the nhs at these times.

You could give the staff permission to prescribe all medications which would make it easier then you after go back to 111 service
