I didn't end up receiving care in the urgent care centre due to the process of having to go via A & E first- something not explained by the out of hours service I used or 111. It took an hour to be seen by an assessment nurse in A and E who redirected me back to the urgent treatment centre I was advised to go to in the first place. The waiting room was so busy there were no seats available (I had a leg injury which hurt to stand on) and social distancing was not possible, with some not wearing masks. An advised 4 hour wait in there felt very unsafe and so I left to seek alternative treatment.

The process of having to go via A & E to be referred to urgent care needs to be clear and communicated by 111 or out of hours GP practices as this adds hours on to the process. The lack of space in the waiting room and no covid procedures being followed made it feel very unsafe. Many went to stand in the corridor. It felt safer to leave.

I was treated professionally , courteously and kindness by all.

I don’t have a long standing problem

Nothing staff worked hard to clear a room of patients who had an average four hour wait to be seen ( less emergency’s) they should be complemented on their professionalism

It would be better if privacy could be followed not like screem when referring to any confidential information about a patient or to the patient

I had an apt booked for 11.15...and it seemed that every person that came in after me was seen before me... I would have been happy to wait if there was no apt system...but why have an apt system and then disregard it.

Noted there were several doctors seeing patients...why not keep one to see scheduled apts and the others to see those coming from a&e

Doncaster urgent care department was so busy people were sitting on the floor,the receptionist was fantastic as she had to take verbal abuse from some patients and it was not her fault,the doctor was fantastic as well nothing was to much trouble,people were complaining about waiting and some went home so couldn’t be much wrong with them I also heard some people saying that they waited as didn’t want to come at weekend so left it until Monday,I’m not saying that everyone there was not that poorly but if they wouldn’t wait that says it all ,thank you for looking after me and could I say again that the receptionist was brilliant and understanding

For my visit nothing else could have been better
