The staff were excellent but the management is very poor just sat around for over 4 hours no information and it was not that busy . You need to give it some serious thought about improving for example young lady sat opposite reception with a screaming baby when l arrived and had to wait longer time than me !, l understand the pressure but some people just gave up and walked out.so not a happy experience l regret in say.
Been in so much pain all the drs nurses where all very concerned and compassionate to me and my injury!
Ambulance staff were spot on kind respectful no issues at all
I came in with my two year old son, with breathing difficulties and a fever of 39.9. We was there for 3 hours without even being triaged, I asked someone why his obs hadn’t even been checked yet, for someone to attempt to take his obs and because he cried, they left it and walked off. We was then taking to the children’s ward at about 1am where we received amazing care, but we was literally just forgotten about in a&e, to the point a doctor came over after two hours and asked In shock why we was still sat there and not been seen.
Due to my own fault being here .. I have had the best care I could only wish for the staff here are absolutely impeccable in everything they do keeping everyone safe at the time in are lives they are truly a magnificent team and work together incredibly I wouldn't hesitate coming back here thanks for everything you have done for me guys
Because l was treated with outstanding absolute professionalism respect and dignity
I was very happy with the overall service. I was also seen very quickly.
Even as I wasnt in that moment happy, everyone there made me smile. Really kind and nice people. With a bit of humor! Friendly.
Also everything was tidy and Well explained.
Thank you so much!
I appreciate it.
I appreciate we are in uncharted waters but I was really shocked at having to queue for an hour and a half to get into the hospital before even being able to register why we were there. Thankfully in our case it wasn’t as serious as it could have been but as no one was there to check why people attended then I feel this could have serious repercussions for someone. As I said with covid it’s unusual times but not to check why people have turned up is worrying to say the least.
The Dr and Triage nurse I saw were fantastic but the nurse on reception sat next to the receptionist made me feel alienated and really upset me. I went in following my GPS advice with suspected sun poisoning and all my face had swollen up. I explained to reception I had taken ibuprofen, paracetamol, anti-histamines and used aloe vera and that the swelling is getting worse (my eyes were just about open due to the severity of the swelling). The nurse on reception sarcastically asked, "so your GP has sent you to A&E for sunburn?!". She then said I'll put you down to see Triage. I saw the chap in Triage who said I needed to see the Dr. The lady Dr and her Consultant were both fantastic and very thorough, he told me I had first degree burns and I came away with a prescription of 1000mg of antibiotics for 5 days. The nurse on reception belittled me in front of other staff and patients in the waiting room assuming I was visiting unnecessarily and I'm really not happy about the way she made me feel. I've had sunburn and sunstroke before and would NEVER go to my GP let alone A&E for that. I went under my own GP's advice and I feel this needs addressing with her as she shouldn't make remarks like that. First degree burns is not just "sunburn" she made me feel uncomfortable and upset.
