First, obviously, the medical care from Sam Rajaratnam and his team. Secondly, the staff, who to a person were brilliant. And finally to the hospital itself - truly state-of-art in every sense.
For context I’ve had major surgery in the Royal Free and Royal ENT many times. I think I’ve had over 40 hours of surgery above the neck. My experience in the Cleveland felt like I was in a hospital from the future. The atmosphere is very calm, I’m made to feel like the only patient in the hospital and the quality of the care is the highest I’ve had in any hospital and the food is excellent. For the sake of all your future patients I hope you keep up this high standard.
I recently underwent a Septoplasty surgery performed by Dr. Jonathan Hughes, an ENT surgeon, at Cleveland Clinic London, and I must express my utmost gratitude for the outstanding care I received. Having had previous experiences with private healthcare, I thought I knew what to expect, but my time at Cleveland Clinic London exceeded all my expectations.
From the moment I arrived at the hospital, I was met with a level of professionalism and efficiency that left me truly impressed. I was promptly admitted at 7 am and escorted to my day case room, where I was made to feel comfortable and well-cared for by the attentive nursing team.
Before the surgery, I had the pleasure of meeting both Dr. Ahmad Ziyad, the Anesthetist, and Dr. Jonathan Hughes, my ENT Surgeon. They patiently answered all my questions, alleviating any concerns I had about the surgery and the recovery process. Their approachable and informative demeanor immediately put me at ease.
The surgery itself took place at 10:30 am, and I was pleasantly surprised to wake up post-op without any pain. Dr. Jonathan Hughes personally visited me, assuring me of the success of the surgery and outlining the next steps in my recovery. This information was reiterated by the nursing team once I returned to my room.
The hospital's pharmacy promptly provided me with painkillers, although I was relieved to find that I didn't require them immediately after the surgery. The culinary experience was also noteworthy, as I was served with food I had pre-selected from the menu pre-op.
After being discharged at 3 pm on the same day, a friend of mine who picked me up was equally impressed by the level of care and attention I received.
In conclusion, my experience at Cleveland Clinic London was nothing short of excellent. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I certainly would. The hospital's model of care felt more akin to a 5-star hotel than a medical facility. The caregivers were not only highly skilled but also remarkably friendly, making my stay comfortable and pleasant.
If you have the privilege of accessing private healthcare, I wholeheartedly recommend Cleveland Clinic London as your first choice. My heartfelt thanks go out to the entire team for making my hospital experience so exceptional.
