Overall I was happy with the cleanliness but the toilets could have been a little cleaner. Since it’s a sexual health service and people provide samples I would have preferred it to be spotless. But they weren’t bad at all

It would have been nice to have a little more information on what the appointment would entail beforehand. The online booking system said it was just a consultation, not the treatment itself. The ability to book online was preferred so being able to do this without ringing would be amazing. Maybe more about things you can offer in one appointment. My appointment was to be treated for gonorrhoea but also did tests to start on PrEP in my follow up appointment. Also I was lucky enough to be offered a monkeypox vaccine in a phone call just after my appointment so I came back to receive that. If this is something you’re offering to everybody eligible it would have been good to know on the website.

Rebecca and Janet were absolutely fantastic. Made me feel so relaxed. Rebecca talked me through what was going to happen and also as she was was doing the procedure. I can’t fault the service and friendliness. Thank you both so much

I saw Rebecca, she was amazing, friendly, respected my name change and new pronouns. They gave me appropriate information for my implant and even referred me to the counselling service when I asked about it! 10/10

I don’t think there’s anything they could’ve done better. They’re so friendly and even me (with extreme social anxiety) felt safe with the staff!

My appointment today (18th June 2022) was at 1pm. On arrival I was greeted by Linda and informed that I would need to return at 5pm as I required local topical anaesthetic rather than injection as I was currently taking propranolol which is contraindicated with local injection anaesthesia. I have had an implant before and previously not experienced a problem. Having to return was a great inconvenience both in time and money costing extra fuel and parking. I feel that the extra delay could have been avoided If a telephone consultation had occurred prior to my appointment, I would have been informed that I would have needed to attend an hour earlier than my appointment to have the skin preparation. I would like to add that Linda was very professional and helpful and accommodated my return at the end of her appointments, but this added pressure to an already busy service.
