Share review of Brook Blackburn
My appointment today (18th June 2022) was at 1pm.
On arrival I was greeted by Linda and informed that I would need to return at 5pm as I required local topical anaesthetic rather than injection as I was currently taking propranolol which is contraindicated with local injection anaesthesia.
I have had an implant before and previously not experienced a problem.
Having to return was a great inconvenience both in time and money costing extra fuel and parking.
I feel that the extra delay could have been avoided
If a telephone consultation had occurred prior to my appointment, I would have been informed that I would have needed to attend an hour earlier than my appointment to have the skin preparation.
I would like to add that Linda was very professional and helpful and accommodated my return at the end of her appointments, but this added pressure to an already busy service.
