The care that I got made me want to end my life even more
I'm filling this out on behalf of my partner who has been in the unit for 12+ weeks now with little to no progress. I do not wish to blame individual staff as I trust you are all working to the best of your ability, despite various failings in care, bringing the dignity and respect score down. Nonetheless, there is a serious lack of urgency and a general failing in system leadership to deliver better outcomes for patients. You can blame lack of funding, lack of resource, not enough staff... but that is no excuse not to be solution driven or accountable. In any other organisation... a lack of initiative or creative thinking to overcome barriers would result in that organisation failing.
Because everyone at the unit treated our son and us so well. Really fabulous unit.
The security guard at reception (visit on Friday 26th May, 5pm) made me feel calm and was very reassuring. The doctor I saw was kind and listened actively. The entire process was calm and I felt it was an incredible department
Efficient, friendly staff.
