Was told I was being referred to West Middlesex Hospital for an ultra sound. This was on the 30th August. I heard noting and no appointment arrived. Today, 3rd October, I called the surgery. Was told that a referral had been made but was at Teddington Memorial Hospital. Different information. Referral secretary wasn’t at work today so administrator had little to go on. Administrator called me back to say that I had, in fact, been sent an appointment by West. I’d DX Hospital for 25th September. I did not receive this appointment letter but my veracity was questioned. Supposedly, I had received the letter and the error was of my own making. When the referral secretary is back at work she will have to make a fresh referral for me and might get seen in 5 to 6 weeks, if I receive the letter. No apologies for ineptitude and remain in pain till exploratory procedures are carried out13 weeks after I put this into action. My address remains the same as when I joined the surgery 20 years ago. Shocking!

I have just had an appointment with Dr Richards (my second with her). She was extremely kind and considerate. She listened and asked me all the right questions and was very informed - an absolute professional. What an asset to the surgery!

I practice seems to have become more approachable and efficient in the last 18 months. Some of the short term/young/Doctors in training lack the ability to read patient notes retain, understand interpret and act accordingly. I have never noticed this before. Emergency and same day appointments are still too difficult to obtain which is reported as common across NHS GPs. The Nurse service is extremely good, with particular mention to the phlebotomy of Jane.

Very calm, smiley and helpful receptionists who are remarkably patient. The phone seldom gets past 3 rings and they are excellent at reminding you of hospital appointments
