Paul made the experience of going through titration for ADHD meds amazing. He was really understanding, kind, and patient. He helped me feel like there was less pressure to have to be on schedule with the process as my life went a little haywire during the process and was flexible with when and what we did. He let me try different doses and let me try them out a little longer than planned so I could be sure and comfortable with what I was getting.

The care that I have received for PSUK has been second to none. This process of a diagnoses full stop has been a very hard journey for me, but for the first time ever, with qualified professionals, I felt HEARD and SEEN. 34 years of not being heard or seen has taken it's toll on my quality of life, but now, i feel like things are slowly beginning to clear and I am healing. My Psychiatrist - Dr.Sourabh Moti Singh made me feel like I wasn't going crazy, that my symptoms were VALID and he saw straight away how my life was being affected. I still didn't know if the pathway that I was looking at was just a figure of my own thoughts, but he made me understand that it was not. The diagnosis rocked me, for sure. But since then, I have learnt so much about myself and I believe I can start to move on and be happier. Paul Cavanagh was my titration nurse, and he has been fantastic. I understand how much pressure these services are under, yet Paul has always been there for me in a matter of moments. Albeit that my requests were not "urgent" in a medical sense, when Paul was in charge of my titration care, he was supportive, he listened and he was incredibly efficient in his response time. Not once did I feel alone. I really appreciate the sometimes out of hours replies to my case notes. Honestly, thank you, the week that Paul was off on annual leave, the responses were lacking and I didn't quite know what do to, but again, I am sure the nurse looking after me had a case load of their own, so there is no judgement. I was just very happy when Paul was back! Thank you for making this scary journey a lot easier. Overall, I feel very lucky to have been able to use the services of PSUK. They have been pivotal in a very unsure time of my life.

I felt like Paul really took my concerns into consideration. It's sometimes hard as a patient to decide what is relevant, especially when it comes to mental health, and Paul listened even when I told him things that may not have been relevant. He was very professional and patient. With ADHD, sometimes you miss things or make sure to double check that you HAVE NOT missed things and Paul was very supportive and quick to respond.

Paul put up with a lot of scattered messages from me. I think he did a great job at getting to the heart of what was bothering me nine times out of ten. If I had to think of something imperfect, I suppose I might admit I wasn't always certain I'd made myself clear when communicating through My Notes, as Paul tended to focus on the immediate problem rather than noting I was concerned about long-term things and wanted specifics regarding the current problems so I could stop worrying. That doesn't mean he's done anything wrong at all, just imagining that he must be dealing with a lot of people who are worried and scattered in their thoughts, right? So that's the only thing I can think of that might have been any more helpful than he already was. And he was amazing and I hope he hears I wanted him to know that.
