I found Carol to be very understanding and sympathetic to my needs throughout titration. I also found her suggestions and advice to be very helpful and felt as if she was taking who I am into consideration when doing so. I would highly recommend her and it is always good to be seen as a human rather than a patient, and she does this.

Carol has been really helpful and listened to me throughout my time with her as my nurse. I would recommend her, she has been really understanding and I have felt I can reach out if needs be.

Carol was great. I would often get close to running out of meds. She would react so quickly to assist and make sure I didn't miss days. She also gave me great advice and very willing to listen and talk through my concerns as I was new to the medication

I cannot begin to thank Carol for her help during my titration period for ADHD medication. The whole process can be quite daunting, but she was always patient, clear, kind, and did a fantastic job to help me navigate it. I highly recommend her.

Carol has just supervised me through titration on ADHD meds, and I really can't think of any way in which she could have been more helpful. She was wonderfully observant and gave great advice at every step of the process. And enormously patient with the rather chaotic self-expression that tends to accompany this condition! Couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
