Carol was amazing during my titration. Made herself available to suit my schedule. Comprehensive, understanding and adaptable. With all sincerity probably the most professional and helpful healthcare specialist I have dealt with. Thanks Alex E

Carol was my nurse prescriber throughout a fairly long period of titration to arrive at the right medication for my adult ADHD. She always responded quickly to information uploaded online; was reassuring when some medication had little impact - and explained why; and gave clear and thorough options for next steps before each change in medication. On one occasion I had a slightly alarming side effect, and she responded by calling me directly to talk through the details in person. This was very reassuring and helped explain how the side effect may have come about - and the next change in medication to avoid it. I could not have asked for better care throughout the process and would wholeheartedly recommend Carol for anyone's ADHD treatment.

Carol helped me during my titration period for ADHD. She carefully considered all factors and professionally advised and prescribed medication. She was thoroughly professional and was not hindered by this to be compassionate and friendly. My titration took months that consisted numerous questions and back and forth messages but she was completely patient and helpful the entire titration. She provided useful tips and advice about the medication. With her knowledge and patience, we were able to find the best dose and medication entirely tailored for me. She was very kind in various ways and always placed my best interest above all. If I were to undergo the titration again, I would undoubtedly choose Carol to be my nurse again!

Specialises in

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
