Jenny is the most compassionate empathetic practitioner I’ve ever met. Her care for me during initial titration was first class and I had added trauma to deal with that she was willing to not only hear but also to find another service to assist me to recover. This woman gave me a reason to trust and believe medical professionals and her actions and care have helped me to completely transform my life. All too often staff are time constrained and do what’s adequately acceptable however Jenny goes above and beyond and the world of ADHD is a much better place because of her.

Jenny was appointed to manage the titration process for ADHD treatment about 5 months ago. I had never been through such a process before and she made the difference. She was always there to respond to questions, provide support, and give me the information about treatments I needed to feel comfortable with the process. Most importantly she listens to the feedback and concerns I raised which help refine my treatment to be tailored to me instead of a generic one fits all treatment plan. Even small observations I made in my progress updates she would pick up on. Often I didn't attribute these to symptoms before and to my detriment would have dismissed, she would explain how they were interrelated to my diagnosis and could be treated. I highly recommend her based on the genuine care and attention to detail she has demonstrated throughout. I can't thank her enough for the support throughout the whole process.

Jenny supported me through my ADHD diagnosis and was extremely responsive to any questions I had about the process and the titration specifically. She was very supportive and always made time for me and any queries I might've had. Despite being very busy and working remotely, Jenny is very conscientious and meticulously monitored my data throughout the process to make sure that I was healthy, that the medication was working properly and that I was not experiencing any adverse effects. She was very kind, and open to discussing the next steps rather than being overly instructive or directing me. I felt that her approach was perfect, and was really pleasantly surprised at the level of care and compassion I received, I really felt that she was willing to give up her time to help and there was never a rush. There was an issue with my local pharmacy having misunderstood the prescription initially, so when I contacted Jenny she went through everything in detail to make sure that it was correct, as well as taking the details of the pharmacy to call them in case they needed any guidance to ensure that I received the medication. Additionally, she sent a letter alongside the prescription every month with her contact details in the event that the pharmacy needed to contact her or ensure the validity of the prescription in some way. I can't recommend Jenny enough!

I 'met' Jenny through Psychiatry-UK's remote service, where she was the prescribing nurse for my ADHD diagnosis. Although I didn't meet Jenny in person, we corresponded regularly throughout the process of my starting medication for ADHD and monitoring my progress against it. Throughout that process, I got the impression that Jenny was an extremely friendly and supportive character who had a genuine interest in my case. She seemed honestly happy for me when I started seeing significant improvements on medication, and all of her messages were professional but very friendly. When I submitted a properly overly-detailed summary of how I'd benefited from the treatment she made me feel really well listened to and supported. As a prescribing nurse she was very receptive to my thoughts and feelings about the treatment. I experimented with three increasing doses of the medication, and I found the highest dose effective but a bit unpleasant. Jenny gave me a good overview of what she would normally recommend and why but, knowing there were no serious side effects, emphasised the choice was mine and made me feel informed but empowered as a patient. As it happens, I did take Jenny's advice and go back down a dose with no regrets! As an aside (mostly for Jenny's benefit if she ever checks this page), when I took my first prescription from Jenny to the pharmacy, the pharmacist said it was "unusually really clear and well written" for a private prescription! I had absolutely no problems getting my pharmacist to fill that first, quite complex multi-dose prescription.

Response from Mrs Jennifer Winnard

Thank you so very much for this wonderful feedback, I was overwhelmed to read it. Thank you so much for taking the time to reflect on how you found the service, it was a pleasure to support you through the process and it means a great deal to me and all of us at Psychiatry-UK to know that you found the process and service to be a positive one. Jenny
