Kind and helpful staff
I attended with a tear to my calf and was throughly examined by the nurse practitioner on shift. I felt reassured having visited a&e as I wasn’t sure to what extent I had damaged my calf, with not being able to put weight on the leg. I was given clear advice in treating myself at home in terms of recovering and letting it heal effectively. I was given some crutches to help me get about.
The treatment was excellent but the waiting time (Just under 4 hours) on uncomfortable chairs was very wearying and I began to feel unwell.
Reception Very sympathetic to my problem
Showed warmth and care
Triaged very quickly
Compassionate to my wife sat in the car
Really good with me
I waited a long time to see the doctor
Became cold and triage nurse not only remembered my name but gave me a warmed up blanket
The doctor and nurse in the bay were brilliant and looked after me so well
I have nothing but praise for the staff
I understand why waiting times are long
A&E is a forever changing playing field and sometimes people have to wait longer because others need greater priority and assistance
Well done Grimsby A&E
They sent me for a xray at 8:48pm and then i finally saw the doctor at 3am. Then i heard thls elderly lady with a disability scooter go to the reception desk at around midnight and ask politely how much longer it would be because she had waited 10 hours. Then the receptionist started shouting at the lady and saying you will have to wait and we have patiemts in both sides. I then asked was there any where to complain to and the receptionist and she then replied you can contact at PAL and they arent open till 9am and they cant do much. I have to say i was very disappointed with the duty of care to the patients coming in.
The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, even with A&E as busy as it was. While the wait time for treatment was rather long due to that, the actual treatment was fairly quick and the doctor was very polite. The areas of the hospital I saw were practically spotless.
Julie and team in A&E were kind, professional and I would not have been treated better anywhere in the World
Great NHS
The reception staff were very dismissive and made me feel I was wasting their time even though my dr had told me to go to A&E the first nurse I saw also had a similar attitude till she ran my blood pressure. The second nurse I saw and doctors and staff after this were beyond amazing, I couldn’t not speak more highly of them, especially the two drs I saw in A&E
All staff involved the receptionist, Nurse and Doctor were all very friendly, caring and understanding. I felt at ease and felt well looked after.
I was seen quickly by staff that clearly cared and were extremely good at their job. The nurse who took my symptoms was meticulous with her notes so the Doctor was fully informed of my situation before he saw me.
The Doctor himself was polite and again meticulous in his assessment of my symptoms. It turned out my situation was to do with back and nothing serious, which they probably knew from the off but they treated me as they would a patient with more serious symptoms. I felt really bad for wasting there time.
Fantastic Team. Thank you!!
