Mr Richard Kerr

Mr Kerr is without doubt one of the best doctors/surgeons I have ever had the privilege to know and see at work. As a fellow clinician I am confident that he is one of few doctors that I would be totally happy to have look after myself, family or friends. He combines rigorous technical and scientific ability with a humbleness, empathy and genuine care for his patients that continues to amaze me after knowing him for nearly 20 years. Over the last 8 years he cared for, and operated on, a very good friend of mine with an incurable brain tumour. Mr Kerr delivered not only skilled operations that dramatically prolonged my friends life, but never once shirked from the even tougher job of being fully open and honest about the limits of what could be achieved. All this was done with genuine care and profound compassion for the whole family.
