It appeared to be clean on the ward, some staff were friendly, caring and helpful. But a lot of staff weren’t. Some appeared robotic and had no empathy for the patients they were looking after. I witnessed some very unprofessional behaviour whilst visiting EMU and CMUB from staff. This included staff on their phones clearly speaking to friends/family. One singing happy birthday. I witnessed two male staff laughing at a clearly distressed bed bound frail lady with dementia. Someone left on a bed pan and forgotten. Staff wearing masks which made it very difficult for older patients to hear what they were saying. This was made even more difficult as english wasn’t their first language. I witnessed a staff member walk away from a patient because she couldn’t understand what they had said calling the patient rude. Overall I feel staff need to be more compassionate and professional.

I've been in the hospital several times due to treatment to my wrist. Both for Dr appointment and for surgery. All the staff have been excellent providing great care.

The operation was life changing for me, now able to breath out of my nose, which will improve my ability to breath while in the gym, and everyday. I'm so glad to have the opportunity to have this complete and would recommend others who if on similar situations to do the same. The recovery wasnt as bad as described, and went by quickly, of which 2 week later my nose looks like normal

Been sat here in level 6 waiting for a scan for the last 12 hours, no idea what’s happening or when it will happen, absolutely disgusting behaviour . Where is all the money going?

I attended the Eye Clinic of the John Radcliffe this last weekend accompanying my mother. My mother is under the care of the eye clinic in Leeds but had had some concerns about her sight while we were visiting Oxford. We were able to book an appointment with relative ease and on arrival were quickly seen by a nurse, then by a doctor, then had numerous scans and finally given a diagnosis by the doctor. He explained the issue clearly, explained next steps and before we left provided a print out of notes for my mother to take up to Leeds when she had her check up in a weeks time. She has been under the care of St James in Leeds for several years for her sight and as we were leaving said to me, "that is the most diligent and thorough examination I've ever had in all my years of problems with my sight. Given it was a Saturday morning and I'm not a registered patient I thought we would be there for hours, but we've been in, seen and out within 90 minutes, absolutely fantastic." I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the Eye Clinic team who were fantastic, put my Mum at ease and allowed us to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Thank you.

I’ve just had my first consultation with Dr. Arambage and I can confidently say he is an absolute masterpiece in gynaecology. I left feeling completely reassured and confident that I am in the best hands guided by up-to-date knowledge and sound medical advice. Dr. Arambage listened with genuine attentiveness and addressed each of my concerns thoroughly. I felt an immediate sense of relief like a weight had been lifted. I truly wish Dr. Arambage all the very best. Rekha
