I was referred to Mr Henry Atkinson following many years of suffering from osteoarthritis of the knees. From my first appointment, I found Mr Atkinson to be empathetic towards my condition and willing to help me regain my mobility and have a good quality of life so that I can continue to provide care for others as well with my profession as a nurse which I love. I also found Mr Atkinson to be extremely passionate about improving patients lives, approachable and kind. He is compassionate, caring, committed to giving patients best quality of care and communicated well with me about the process of the surgery and also reassured me this which helped me with my anxieties and fears. Mr Atkinson is competent in surgical skills, he made me to feel at ease and safe with my decision to go ahead with the surgery under his care. I am wholeheartedly saying a massive thank you to you Mr Atkinson for making difference to the lives of patients under your care this which you do with passion. I'm indeed very grateful!

Dr Henry Atkinson is one of the kindest people i have ever met. He shows empathy and as a doctor that is what you need now a days. The pain i was suffering i was so worried that it was something more untoward as painkillers were not really working. But Dr Atkinson re-assured me and recommended very good options for treatment which have helped me tremendously and now i am much much better. Thanks again Dr Atkinson

I have been under the supervision and care of Mr Atkinson over the last 10 years for ongoing severe pain due to tendonopothies ie lateral and medial spondylitis and enthisitis ie in my right knee- both patellar tendonitis and torn medial meniscus. Mr Atkinson has always discussed with me in great detail, with patience and caution, the most suitable and beneficial protocol to follow to correct and rectify my issues. I have always adhered to his constructive advice which has improved my welfare and pain symptoms tremendously. He operated on my right knee 7 years ago where he excised the para tendon and performed a debridement with extreme precision and efficacy. This completely corrected my right knee pain symptoms. He is currently treating me via Extra corporeal Shock wave treatment for pain in my elbow,tricep and forearm extensor Due to his expertise, knowledge and vast experience, the pain in my arm has completely subsided. Mr Atkinson is both a lower limb and upper limb specialist whose knowledge on pain management and relief are phenomenal. Please consult Mr Atkinson on either lower limb, upper limb or pain management issues and adhere to his protocol and advice which will benefit you tremendously and treat and relieve your problems and pain with tremendous efficacy. When I first found out who my consultant was going to be I researched him on the website and immediately felt at ease and knew I was going to be ok with Mr Atkinson, I had my full knee replacement this February 2020 on the day I was admitted he explained everything to me in detail that I would experience pain afterwards for a while but it would get better in time and the swelling would be there for about a year. The other thing which stood out for me was after finishing his clinic he came up to visit to see how I was getting on ok.

I continue to receive great care from Mr Atkinson. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending him, having complete confidence in his abilities. He doesn't have a single minded approach. He takes into account your lifestyle commitments. My young son was diagnosed with cancer 5 years into Mr Atkinson looking after my various Orthopaedic conditions. He was very kind and did his best to work with me. He worked to improve my mobility but with a quick recovery time so I could still care for my son's extra medical needs.
