I recently had a total right knee replacement i had never had a procedure like this done before and i was quite nervous about it even more so because 3 weeks before i was due to go in and have my surgery i found out i was under someone new but after i had my consultation with Mr Akrawi i was alot more at ease he explained everything to me and what was going to happen he also listened my my concerns and put my mind to rest. On the day of my surgery i was even more nervous again but Mr Akrawi and his staff looked after me brilliantly even after i was discharged from hospital and i needed to see him he fitted me in to put my mind at ease about my recovery i would certainly reccommend him to friends and family .

Mr. Akrawi has done an amazing job with my knee meniscus repair. His calm and polite manner puts you at ease immediately, he listens carefully to everything you say and is very thorough. He went the extra mile during surgery to look for any other potential issues, which he found and immediately put right. Two weeks later and i'm walking around with no further problems. I am extremely thankful to him and I'm looking forward to returning to sport soon thanks to his excellent skills.

I met with Mr Akwari today for a consultation at Pembury hospital. From the outset he was attentive and caring, watching how I walked to his consulting room and listening closely to what I had to say. He was reassuring and professional at all times. He treated me with extreme courtesy and could immediately see my problems and describe the difficulties I was probably having (he was 100% correct). Nothing was too much trouble and he gave me time and consideration, making me feel a valued individual rather than another converter belt number. I came away feeling confident and reassured, and with strategies to mitigate the flare ups one experiences with arthritis. I will need knee replacements in the future as Mr Akwari explained and would wish that he could be the one to perform my surgery. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to discuss my situation with him and now have a positive regime for moving forward and managing my condition. Many thanks Mr Akwari.

Mr Akrawi filled me with confidence from the very first time I met him at my outpatient appointment. He is incredibly professional whilst making you feel completely at ease and comfortable. I cannot praise him enough. It will be an incredible loss to Maidstone Hospital to lose this orthopaedic surgeon when he leaves shortly.

I had emergency surgery performed by Mr Akwari following an accident. This was complex, involving my knee and lower leg. On the morning of the operation he spoke to me to tell me what was involved, and the risks. Later that evening he came to see me to say that all had gone well, and that he was pleased with the result. Since then I have seen him twice in clinic, and on each occasion he has been informative and caring. I felt that I was treated as an individual. At no time did I feel rushed. To sum up I feel that Mr Akwari is outstanding, and feel pleased and privileged that he treated me.I feel confident that I have received the best outcome that I could have expected.
