I fell in late June and dislocated my shoulder. It was found to be fractured. At my 3 week check it was decided I needed surgery and I was booked in for the Friday that week. On arriving at the hospital I was told that I would need to come back on Monday but it would be a different surgeon. I spent the weekend worrying! On Monday morning I met Mr T (as he calls himself) and my mind was totally put at rest. All the other Doctors had been full of doom and gloom and predicting pessimistic outcomes but Mr T was just so positive, caring & friendly that he gave me hope - and I totally felt that I trusted him and his team. I am now around 12 weeks post-surgery. I have had 2 appointments with Mr T since then and, each time, he has taken his time to explain everything and go through the X-Rays with me. He is just so cheerful and friendly and really puts you at ease. He demonstrated rehab exercises for me. I go back to see Mr T at the beginning of November. It has been a long road and I definitely am not 'there' yet but I am so pleased that my original surgery was cancelled and I was able to benefit from Mr T's expertise. Many Thanks

I have had issues with my shoulder for a couple of years now, and had keyhole surgery ( by a different Surgeon ) 18 months ago which did not resolve the issues. The initial surgeon was lovely, and at my review he decided that the best treatment for me was to be seen by his colleague Mr Talawadekar as he had more expertise and experience in the issues I had. Every appointment I’ve had, Mr T has been so friendly, he takes the time to explain in detail, and is just the nicest person. I had further surgery at WGH by Mr T just over 4 weeks ago, which consisted of removal of part of the AC joint and reconstruction of a ligament that had become detached from the clavicle. I am doing really well recovery wise, and at my follow up appointment MR T explained exactly what he had done, the longer term healing process, exercises to be done, and self care. My scar is approximately 7 - 8 cm, but it is amazingly neat, and he has obviously taken care to ensure this. Personally I am really pleased with the service, and treatment I have received and I would thoroughly recommend Mr T in respect of shoulder injuries and issues.
