As a very nervous patient I found Mr Talawadekar very caring and extremely reassuring. He explained everything thoroughly to me and drew diagrams to show me in more detail. I would certainly recommend him to anyone

I saw Mr Talawadekar on 4 occasions. The first two were consultations where he told me a diagnosis of my problem and how he would rectify it via surgery. I was diagnosed with Cubital Tunnel to my elbow wher he was to release the ulnar nerves. On the day of the operation he told me what to expect during the operation and then we discussed recovery. All the way through the process Mr T answered any questions i had and put my mind at ease. The operation went according to plan and the aftercare from him and his staff was second to none. 2 weeks on and my stiches have gone and its left a small scar. After surgery i was lucky and had no pain or need to take any medication. Thanks again to Mr Talawadekar and his team.

I had a very badly damaged shoulder which needed extensive repair. Mr. Talawadekar did a brilliant job of repair to the extent that I now have a fully functioning limb.
He listens, is very attentive and very concerned about my needs. An excellent surgeon with good humour and a caring professional.

Dealing with Mr Talawadekar and his team throughout has been a pleasure. Not only is he a highly competent surgeon doing a first rate job on my hand, which has healed to be 100% fit again. Mr Talawadekar does himself and the nhs great service. His greatest asset his his manner. He is simply, what is lacking a lot in today’s society, a very nice person. His polite and genuine caring attitude does him great service. On the professional side, he takes time to explain everything and answer your questions clearly and concisely. Introduction:
After completing Orthopaedic training in the UK, Mr. Talawadekar undertook Fellowship training in shoulder, elbow hand/wrist and sports surgery in the UK and Canada.
He currently works as Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in Upper Limb Surgery at the University Hospitals of Morcambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. He has been an Orthopaedic Consultant since 2016. Majority of his work involves Shoulder and Elbow surgery with the rest involving Hand and Wrist. He also perform general orthopaedic trauma surgeries.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Tr&Orth) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is actively involved in research with multiple National and International presentations and publications in peer reviewed journals and is the Principle investigator for some National Research Projects, at his trust.
He is also a keen trainer and junior doctor educator, and was awarded 'Teacher of the year' award. He is an accredited faculty with the AO foundation, a prime worldwide organisation that deals with trauma care. He is the College Tutor and is responsible for surgical training at the Furness General Hospital.
He is a member of British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS) and British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).
