I had the displeasure of meeting Mr Bijan Khoubehi as my father was due to go into surgery for prostate cancer. This had been the second time he was due to go in as the first surgery was cancelled as a result of the medical team not conducting the appropriate pre op tests required. On the first occasion, Bijan was extremely blunt and showed no signs of interest in the patient, constantly scrolling through his phone whilst answering questions. On the second occasion my father was turned away from surgery again as Bijan explained he was not willing to take the risk because of a preexisting condition my father has. I simply asked the question of 'Why was he offered the surgery in the first place if he was not fit to do it if they already knew of his pre-existing condition' - for context he had been waiting 6 months for this surgery - despite Bijan explaining that he wanted to operate on him ASAP in late January. This caused him anxiety and distress. After I asked that question, Bijan showed his true colours. He became very aggressive and started shouting, denying me the option to speak claiming that he 'did not care about me and I was not allowed to speak' - he clearly realised his mistake but failed to acknowledge it, acting like a victim instead. I was shocked at this reaction, a grown man with over 15 years experience, who is meant to save lives reacting in a manner that was not only unprofessional but also very intimidating. I feared for my safety. I ask the trust to look into this surgeon, he may be in need of professional help, no-one should react that aggressively to a simple question from someone who cares for a loved on. Happy to provide more contexts for anyone who needs it.

This morning, my GP made an appointment with Mr Khoubeni through the Cromwell Hospital, the appointment was for 4:45pm today and was for an urgent consultation as my GP has concerns over my condition. Just as I arrived at the hospital, having travelled over an hour across London, I received a call from the Cromwell Hospital to say that Mr Khoubeni had just told them that he was not coming in to the hospital and so the appointment had to be cancelled. I could never use a doctor that behaved that way.

Mr Khoubehi performed a robotic radical prostatectomy on my. Not only was it completely successful in removing the cancer within 4 weeks after the I was back to functioning exactly how I was before the operation (minus semen of course). This is down to his great skill in sparing nerves and I am ternary greatful.

Earlier this year I was referred to Dr. Khoubehi for treatment of a renal tumor in my left kidney. This was a life changing event for me especially at my age (39). Dr. Khoubehi discussed all options, risks, and probabilities, and I elected to move forward with a partial nephrectomy (robot-assisted). My surgery was at King Edward VII Hospital, where I spent one night and then was discharged. I had zero pain right after the surgery, which I found remarkable. 4 weeks later I was out running a 5k. The thoroughness of my follow up regimen gives me peace of mind and makes me feel very well cared for. I feel extremely blessed to have been connected with Dr. Khoubehi and to have received this level the treatment and follow-up.

I have undergone prostate surgery and post-operative treatment by Mr Khoubehi. He and his team have been honest, friendly and efficient, and for me his ability as a surgeon and clinician is beyond question. I feel I am in good hands and trust him implicitly to guide my care.

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Khoubehi and I would definitely recommend him. He is extremely competent and thorough, and the results of the procedure that he performed were impeccable.

In addition to being a well-documented leader is his medical field with a career track record of both mainstream and pioneering success Bijan has always been crystal clear with me on my condition at its various stages and has presented options and ways forward very well. The follow up care has equally been exemplary as I continue regular tests through post-operative years. A personable professional that leaves no stone unturned and does not leave your side throughout the process. Delighted to recommend for both consultation and surgery.

I was a prostatectomy patient. Everything about BK and his team was exceptionally good and they prepared me for the aftermath of the operation very effectively. The surgery was much more manageable than I feared and the aftermath much less difficult to handle. This is a Rolls Royce team

I went To Mr Khoubehi for a scan then biopsy and then full prostate removal at the London Clinic under BUPA. I researched Bijan via family contacts in the Urology surgery world and his professional reputation was excellent as are his success rate statistics. He never pushed me when making decisions but made clear the options and reassured me when I needed it. The specialist nursing team at the London Clinic gave me the non surgical practical support I also needed and so overall I feel that I could not have asked for more.

I am very pleased with care I have received so far. I have had major procedure and clear of cancer at this time. I have only one misgiving . This is the third major surgery i have had in 10 years .Others Heart and hip.I feel if there was a centralisation of all discharge summaries then one would not get one hospital not knowing all relevant facts about patients that would save time when making assessments. All I can say well done Mr Bijan Khoubehi and his team and thank you
