I had a breast reduction surgery done by Dr Esmaeili and had an absolutely amazing experience. He listened to my wishes in regards to size and what I wanted to gain from the surgery and also explained the procedure very well and made me feel very comfortable. He came to introduce himself before surgery and also attended my appointments afterwards to ensure I was happy and healthy. He went above and beyond and I recommend him as a surgeon! I had an initial consultation with Mr Ali in July this year he suspected the small growth on my leg was skin cancer and put me on the waiting list for its removal. In September it was removed and the biopsy showed it was a basal cell carcinoma. At my follow up Mr Ali explained the results and advised I check any further skin issues but the outcome was positive. He was very polite professional and put me at ease. I am very grateful for getting this seen to and for the care Ive received.

Having waited six months for a skin cancer surgery appointment at King's Hospital (Denmark Hill) I got in touch with the Royal Free Hospital where I had been treated previously in order to see if they could treat me me more rapidly. From the moment I was in touch with Mr Ali Esmaili I felt in good hands. His priority was to get me treated and sorted out as soon as possible. Having looked at the diagnosis pictures taken at King's Mr Esmaili confirmed the diagnosis of a Basel Cell Carcinoma. Rather than wait for even longer to have the surgery Mr Esmaili had a slot in his schedule that day and he operated that afternoon. The excision after analysis was confirmed as having successfully removed all of the cancer. I returned later to have the stitches removed and have had no problems with affected area since. What was particularly refreshing in the way that Mr Esmaili treated me was that he acted rapidly to get the Basal Cell Carcinoma removed with as few appointments as possible. This enabled me to get back to work rapidly and feel reassured that the cancer had been removed and dealt with. Mr Esmaili and all of the team at the Royal Free (from nurses to receptionists)could not have been more helpful, reassuring and efficient. Once I was at the Royal Free the whole experience was exceptional.

I am a retired doctor who came under Dr Ali Esmaili's exceptional care (at the Royal Free Hospital) following a freak finger injury. His (in my experience, unprecedented) care, compassion, surgical skill and professionalism were so important in the period following the injury and recovery after surgery. In short, he reaffirmed my faith in the profession.

I had a breast augmentation two months ago. Unfortunately, I had a complication with an infection in one of my breasts. My surgeon who did the operation did not deal with the problem. Dr Esmaeili looked after me from day one, admitting me to the hospital and looking after me for three days. He was available and caring during my time in the hospital and after helping me with my stress and anxiety. He warned me from day one that the implant may need to come out, but they will try to remove the fluid around it. If that works, it may prevent me from having the implant removed. However, if it doesn’t, the implant has a high chance of coming out. He showed a high level of empathy all the time during my treatment. He’s kind, caring, competent and very knowledgeable, and I highly recommend him.
