I would like to stress this is a review about the Croydon GP Hub based here, not the GP surgery. Daughter had abscess removal under general anaesthetic last month, was told it would need repacking every 48 hours probably for a few weeks. GP currently under COVID restrictions so could only oblige with one appointment every two weeks or so, so went to walk in centre instead. This was fine for the first three weeks or so after which they refused to treat me daughter any more saying she had been there too many times! We did explain the GP situation every time she went but they still kicked her out. They also had the cheek to say she was using too many resources - by which they meant dressings. Shot them straight down in flames over that as every time we provided our own supplies. Typical though to bring it all back to money. Can't speak highly enough of the nursing staff there were great but the way this place is managed is ridiculous.
All I wanted to do was make an follow up appmt with a GP in 2 weeks but all I can get is a phone appmt, never mind that I have chronic anxiety! Receptionist on phone was rude an uncaring.Had to speak to a manager! This practice is a disgrace! You need to start providing a service!
I had a special request and the receptionist(unfortunately don’t remember her name) got out of her way to help me out with what I needed. I know they are so so busy so I really appreciated she took the time to even call me herself to sort out my request. So thank you to her! Jemima :-)
Always kind and helpful, Practice Nurses are truly superb, appointment times vary but they do do their best to fit you in, not always easy to see your ow Doctor but the ones you do see are caring, attentive and effective. It’ll all be better once they get the building works sorted out.
I have had nothing but kindness and good care from this centre. My only complaint is that the notion of actually having a personal doctor is now defunct. One has to accept that the chances of seeing ones "own' doctor are very slight and that there is a chance you'll see a different doctor on every visit. Its a shame that the only concept of personal medicine had disappeared but it is, I suppose, the effect of huge pressures and needs.
