The name of my optometrist was Charlotte and she was professional, clear and very thorough, Maria completed the tests before my appointment with Charlotte and she did them efficiently and smoothly, Kerry assisted with the choice of glasses and the fitting. Kerry made sure my glasses were the right fit and explained clearly about the different type of lenses. All three members of staff were polite and approachable. Where there was some waiting I was told how long and the reason why. I am very pleased with my new glasses and feel the whole experience was painless, quick and efficient.

last year we pointed out the chairs were dirty and i emailed boots and told the manager at the time. Today the chairs seem worse than before. the manager explained it was ground in and would not come off so i got a wipe and disproved that theory. the assistant manager then proceeded to wipe three chairs and used many wipes all getting more and more dirt off. but it did not remove all as the wipes were disinfectant and not a cleaning clothe with soap! since there is no improvement from last year i shall find another optician that has higher standards in hygiene.

I had had a bad fall and my spectacle frame was badly damaged, together with one lens which fortunately was for my left eye with very little sight my right eye being the good one. I took my glasses to Boots who is my optician and Consultant Josh was so helpful. It was obvious the frame was beyond repair but fortunately the specimen frame was available into which he was able to transfer the good lens. As my holiday was only a week away Josh saved the day. This was all done so speedily in a most professional and friendly way. Great customer service Josh, you are a credit to Boots Opticians. Thank you.

I had a great experience, right off the bat. Mariam, the optometrist made me feel at ease and explained, step by step, what she was doing. After this, Kerry, helped and guided me to choose a pair of glasses. She explained the options and took into account my preferences. After just over a week, the glasses arrived. I got a call to come and pick them up and they were perfect. Thank you, great job.

Very pleased with quality and thinness of lenses. Good frames. Unfortunately these were broken during fit adjustment. I was immediately offered a complete replacement of lenses and frame. Good service!

After a cataract op on the 12th August I made an appointment specifically to see Gillian Marshall, the optician who in the past has detected a macular hole, seen me through a vitrectomy and now a cataract. When I arrived in the store I went through the usual checks and then was told I was to see a new optician, a Mrs C Hutton, stranger to me and with none of the rapport I was expecting.....no interest or empathy, just a routine test. The girls at "front of house" showed less interest in me than in themselves and rapidly relieved me of £367 for my new glasses. Later that afternoon I bought a new lawn mower for just slightly more.......a complex and sophisticated machine that will last me many years. The service I received was exemplary, the machine was delivered that very afternoon and the old one removed. I will be unlikely to return to Boots for such shabby treatment and relatively poor value and service.

I would like to thank my Optometrist Zainab and the Dispensing Optomitirist George for explaining everything to me and putting my mind at ease. Zainab did the most thorough test I have ever had and she did an excellent job at putting my needs first; as someone with ongoing anxiety that is a godsend! I have a fairly high prescription in my eyes and wanted specific glasses, as I also have neurological issues George reccomended the best lenses for me, but didn't force me to have them if I couldn't afford them, I could and happily agreed. He took all the measurements carefully and took due care and attention to listening to my needs of my health but also my lifestyle (I am a cyclist; I need glasses that fit my head and will give the best around vision). Many thanks to the whole team, it really meant a lot to me!

The eye test was thorough and I was not pressured into buying glasses at that moment but am happy to call back later .

Have been coming here for years and am happy with all aspects of care. Good extras like half price glasses and free eye tests keep me using Boots Opticians rather than moving somewhere else.
