I have used this opticians long before they became Boots but was concerned that all the Optometrists had changed since my list visit. Alison soon put me ease and I was very happy with my eye exam, I actually felt empowered to discuss various options with her. Great service. I had every intention of taking my prescription and looking for a much cheaper option but Debbie very kindly put some suggestions away for me whilst I went to the dentist and when I returned to collect my husband she showed me her ideas based on the discussions I had had with Alison, my previous glasses have been uncomfortable and Debbie discussed so many different options that I actually enjoyed choosing my glasses. Nothing was too much trouble and I took the initiative to choose something a bit more pricey that I really fell in love with. When my husband was finally free we loved choosing some glasses waiting for Debbie to deal with another customer and couldn't wait to hear her ideas on the styles chosen for him. To be honest we both chose expensive designer frames and have the most expensive varifocal lenses but with the discounts applied and the chosen second pairs (we both chose sunglasses which are much needed) we are very happy with the price. Not cheap but definitely worth paying for. Without Debbie's fun approach we would have been out of the door frame shopping elsewhere. I am thrilled with the service that Debbie gave and of course Allison. We are both very happy customers.

I would have liked more explanation about preliminary tests prior to having them eg what was being checked and how test would be done. Also I felt some of these tests were carried out too fast for my eyes and brain to adjust and adapt as necessary eg the identification of white dots on the screen. Not sure if speed is part of the test or whether it was to try and catch up on time as I had been advised they were running late and it was near the end of the day. Actual consultation and tests were extensive . No rush .Alison very professional and explained as she went along and she shows empathy and understanding in what can be worrying circumstances. The dispenser Debbie was very good with her help and advice. She too showed empathy and understanding. Also not sure if patient toilet available on site did not see any signs for this and feel there should be signed access to a toilet as appts can be quite lengthy.

Great service when booking appointment in store. Prompt attention and flexibility on appointment times. Exam felt thorough. I was in Boots in New Milton Hampshire and after I saw the optometrist I was looked after by Adam who was really personable and professional. He took his time with me and was very patient when I was choosing frames and in explaining the various options to me along with doing price comparisons. The only room for improvement I can suggest is that the after care team members like Adam have more equipment available to them. Adam had to hunt around for the eye ruler and for the lens samples I.e. it looked like they had to share which delayed what is already quite a timely experience and could improve that and ease of working for the team. My appointment was at 1025 and I left at 1200 and although I was a while choosing frames I think this only accounted for say 15 minutes. I would absolutely recommend using boots in New Milton - really very good.

An excellent team, a thorough eye test by Alison, then on to Andy to choose some new glasses. He was very helpful and went to great trouble to make sure I had the right pair for my needs. He also adjusted my old pair of glasses which kept falling down my nose. I have since been back to order some sunglasses which are half price if bought soon after the original purchase. Well done very efficient friendly team.

The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. The only down side is that the glasses I purchased cost a lot more to buy from boots than they are online.
