I booked an appointment due to concerns I had with pain in my right eye. All the staff I encountered were friendly, professional and helpful. The optician I saw really took the time to try to find out what was causing the discomfort I'd been feeling. I felt fully confident and reassured in her assessment and diagnosis. I needed new glasses and found the staff to be helpful with suggestions. But they didn't try to push me into buying from them there and then, as I have encountered in some other more pushy opticians. I have already recommended this branch of Boots opticians and I will definitely use them again.

Boots did their best to provide a suitable appointment that worked around my commitments at work. I was very impressed with the care, staff and the atmosphere. The overall experience was fantastic on the day of my check-up. The lady in store was honest, down-to-earth & helped suggest what frames suit me. I would definitely recommend Boots opticians!

Optometrist was excellent. Very informative and a pleasure to deal with. However I found the staff upstairs extremely sales focused to a point where buying the glasses seemed a matter of life or death...! One comment made by the lady upstairs whilst I was contemplating my purchase and awaiting my partner downstairs was..... Does tomorrow mean tomorrow or more likely not at all...! Spoilt a great sitting with the optometrist, and nearly stopped me buying the glasses to be fair.

The opticians were really friendly and helpful. However I would say the building itself looks tired and a bit grotty, so I wouldn't have gone in if I hadn't booked the appointment online.
