Boots Opticians Brierley Hill - Merry Hill Centre

The whole experience at Boots Opticians Merry Hill was very good. I was taken through the initial tests by Jess. Who was polite throughout and answered all of my queries. My eye examination was carried out by Taiba and she was very thorough too. We talked about my prescription and laser treatment I had done. She also reassured me regarding the current condition of my vision without pressuring me at all. I was very pleased with the service and treatment I received.

Wrong prescription,no apologies for my time as needed to come back three times .Need it to asked the money back as they make me varifocals lens for both eyes even I need only for one eye. During the years this is the second pair of glasses wrongly prescribed .

Only got as far as the door. Several staff milling around, no acknowledgment at all. Walked away and went back about 15mins later, stood outside again waiting to be called in, staff chatting by till, still no acknowledgment, totally ignored. I will never go back again to boots opticians until staff have training on customer care, their loss, I went somewhere where staff were more than helpful.

I do not generally like leaving poor reviews, however on this occasion I felt obliged to so as future customers are aware. Recently moved to area so felt it was logical to change contact lense provider to make life easier. Although the overall service I received was ok each time I visited numerous times appointments were always at least 20 mins late with no apologises from staff. Staff appeared overworked for amount of footfall store receives. This contributed to me feeling the service was unprofessional and impersonal. I have received a refund for my order due yo this and am returning to my former opticians located over 30 miles from my current address as there service level is by far superior.

I would recommend Boots opticians as the service they give is excellent.Friendly staff good advice and very helpful.

My optometrist was thorough and really helpful. I felt I trusted her which I don't at other opticians. I was put with Milly afterwards to organise my contact lenses purchase and start up on direct debit. Can I say a huge thank you to her, she was probably the loveliest person I've ever had help me with anything like this. She was patient with me, organised and just generally easy to get along with. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable. My husband was Sat with me throughout and he suffers from bipolar and afterwards he commented on "what a great girl" *she was. He normally finds all of my appointments hard to handle. Well done Boots Merry Hill for employing such a fantastic team
