Putting 5 stars feels weird because to me it reminds me of just bought off adverts and I know that I personally tend to disregard reviews that say it as having a bias - having said that when thinking about it I could not fault any part of my experience with Denise over my Titration. Especially with ADHD being still to this day quite stigmatised with some medical practicioners (I came to psychiatryuk in the first place through right to choose because my current GP absolutely refused to listen to me or prescribe medication even though I had already been diagnosed and was on medication before at a different GP before I moved) it really was a breath of fresh air to work with someone that treated me as an equal. It really humanised the whole experience and I almost kind of enjoyed the process due to the way in which Denise spoke to me like a peer. While I'd love to say that this interaction was nothing special and everyone should be treated this way, i think the reality of nowadays is that this trait is a rarity and should be celebrated when it's seen. So thank you Denise, I greatly appreciated the way in which you conducted yourself and the language you used in our interactions to really make me feel not only like I was just talking to a friend or peer but to feel like I was getting spoken to with respect and understanding, and for never assuming I knew less than or didn't know what was up. I know that nowadays working in the medical field can really be who can plow through the empathetic burnout for the longest before they call it quits and not a whole not of appreciation so I just hope that if you read this that you know that it does have an effect on people, and I hope you keep doing what you're doing :)

I constantly felt heard and therefore validated throughout this process, this has been incredible for my self-esteem. Additionally, I was always met with both a professional and friendly manner. I felt I was in very capable hands and trusted the knowledge of my Nurse completely. The service I have received from my Nurse has been life-changing and I will be eternally grateful for such.

They were absolutely amazing. Despite having such an influx of patients I was listened to and my opinions were validated and respected continuously. I never felt rushed or like an inconvenience- they truly prioritised ensuring I was happy and healthy throughout the process, and making certain I was confident and assured in the medication choices we were making. It was a collaborative process, where her expertise was informing my experience rather than negating it. I’ve previously struggled with seeking medical help and this was incredibly reassuring and effective- best medical experience I’ve had, I’m very grateful.

I have received excellent care from Denise, I really felt like she cared and listened to me and she made me feel massively supported through the titration process. As someone with other chronic conditions I felt she took them into consideration when prescribing and throughout her contact with me. I would 100% recommend her to anyone asking.
