What a fantastic nurse! So pleased that she was my prescribing nurse for my ADHD medication. Very friendly and helpful. If you are lucky enough to have Denise as your prescribing nurse then rest assured you're in safe hands

I was diagnosed with ADHD only a few months ago, in 2021. I am 42! I finally found an answer for nearly a million questions that I asked my self over and over for 30 years or more.... I felt less frustrated with and less disappointed by my self about the difficulties that I met in reaching my goals despite my passion and hard work. All my attempts of 'change' have always been only partially successful, my relationships difficult, and my self esteem low. When I firstly contacted Psychiatry.co.uk I felt nervous and fearful. Was this another un-personal money-making service? Would they have understood me, as an individual? How much could I rely on follow ups outcomes just by using a website to communicate and not meeting my nurse in person...? To cut it short I can now only express gratitude towards this psychiatry service, and I'll try to reassure who's new to it all. My titration nurse, Denise, was there all the times. Promptly ready to 'read' my communications and follow-up forms, and to advise and reassure me each time. It was clear that Denise has a lot of experience with patients like me and for this reason she was able to propose different options in terms of dosage, frequency and type of medication for me to feel better and physically, mentally and socially settled. I managed to find my best therapeutic plan with ease and in a shorter time than I thought. I never felt let down, forgotten or like 'any of the many'. So much so that, when Denise was ready to 'discharge me' to my GP, I felt that I will miss her extremely human approach and professional care :) So, if you are new to all of this, please don't be nervous! No matter how long it will take, and the up and downs. You will not be left alone and you will get there strong the way I did!

Denise was extremely attentive during my titration period. She had listened to all my concerns and answered me always really fast. As soon as I had an urgency, Denise was reacting fast to my requests so I never missed medication when I was travelling. I have felt really supported during this period as Denise always offered her help and made me feel like she was always there. 100% recommend her.

I have been in and out of the care of Psychaitrists and practitioners alike, and I have never felt so heard until I used this service, from the letter I received from the Psychaitrist themselves to the admin team who kept me up to date, and to my prescribing nurse Denise who listened to my concerns and supported me in my decisions. I am sad to say goodbye to PUK but I will forever be grateful for how heard you all made me feel.
