I was being understood and heard. This therapy has also helped me realise and understand why I am experiencing all of these now. I am also able to manage myself and I think I am going to the right direction as I have been experiencing good progress.
Suggested improvements
I understand that the consultation setting, which is through video calls, these days has been impacted by the pandemic, but I think it would greatly help to go back to face to face therapy if the patient prefers it. This will further contribute to the assessment process, especially with understanding the body languages accompanied that may or may not affect the patient’s current condition.

I had Talking Therapies in 2019 for about 20 1-hour sessions and found it to be very helpful. The first half were in person and then, after [name removed], were online. Now it is a very different process: only the first meeting is face to face, for 30 minutes, followed by 30 minute online meetings and right from the outset you are told that you only have 7 sessions. You feel you are just being given a booklet and shunted off to cope on your own. I think it is important to build up trust in a relationship with your therapist and this can't happen when you only get a brief, one-time in-person meeting.
Suggested improvements
Do more meetings in person. Don't tell the "patient" that they only have 7 sessions from the outset, it means the whole process is then counting down to being dismissed.

I would have preferred a CBT I course but was persuaded a GAD course of CBT was the best option. I am anxious about not sleeping which so far is still the main problem.
