The care and compassion shown was exemplary.
Mullbarry ward, rude security near triage, doesn't want to help where to go, made it harder to get in with difficult angry questions-where they remove your relative, which floor (they need to know where to go) where is your baby (was in my tommy when they discharged me) Different doctors, different decisions about my discharge. Some of the midwifes extremely unhelpful and ignorant. Mixing patients I was bleeding they said me my water gone. (It didn't) One of doctor asked me why I'm bleeding, she was lazy to read my maternity book about low placenta. I have to explained. They said discharged after 24 hours of stop bleeding. I stopped monday 6 o'clock morning wensday they didn't know if 24 hours gone, not interesting about the patients. They said too busy they are. Did NHS really need waste the money like that? Discharging take days so patients spent extra money and time in the hospital without treatment ignored by stuff. Blood results are somewhere in half day, they don't have a time check it so it takes 2 days hear the result by chase it.
I felt very reassured from the care and compassion of the staff and especially the nurses Natalie and Jean. The centre was well run at a very busy period with calmness and efficiency.
I felt incredibly well looked after and my care was paramount to the nurses and doctors charged with my care. I entered the centre as a stranger to them but they treated me as if I were a familiar person to them all.
Feel reassured that you will be well looked after with your stay there and hopefully will leave with a smile.
I was very impressed by the professionalism and compassion demonstrated by the clinical staff. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable, I was also very happy with the pace in which I was seen to.
My experience at the Silverthorne Centre was as usual with out fault ,I was treated with great respect and any queries I had were explained in a caring and efficient manner. I honestly feel that it would be impossible to improve on their level of proficiency. I continue to be impressed with their level of service and the warmth and kindness of the staff.
The nurse practitioner was called Mario and talked with my mother with respect and kindness. The physical therapist did a great job too. Well done Whipps!
The wait was the only negative. From entering to leaving was 4 hours. This time was for a suspected foot fracture which did not appear to be real.
I can only praise the people i met in this department, whipps cross has had a bad press in some quarters but, with a couple of minor quibbles, the staff here were excellent.
I cannot find the words to explain how truly grateful I am to Michelle and the rest of her team for the outstanding level of care, kindness and compassion I experienced on Magnolia ward on Wed 31st Jan 2018. I attended the ward as I was experiencing signs of reduced foetal movement (1st baby, due 27th March) and was extremely concerned that there might be an issue. As I too work at Whipps (on a separate unit) I am conscious of how busy staff are and was initially hesitant to present as I didn't want to waste anyone's time. Within minutes of arriving on the ward I was seen to and Michelle introduced herself and explained the process, she was extremely kind, supportive and reassuring throughout and couldn't have put me anymore at ease given the situation. I was placed on a monitor and when having my checks everyone around me who supported me was polite, friendly and clearly enjoyed their jobs. I am so grateful that all was fine with my baby on the day.
This experience has made me look forward even more to bathing my baby (all being well) at Whipps Cross where I too was born. I felt compelled to write this feedback as my experience was such a positive one, I really was blown away by the kindness and level of care I received. Please pass on my sincere thanks to Michelle and her team, you are all doing an amazing job for which I’m truly grateful.
Professional, friendly staff.
