I cannot find the words to explain how truly grateful I am to Michelle and the rest of her team for the outstanding level of care, kindness and compassion I experienced on Magnolia ward on Wed 31st Jan 2018. I attended the ward as I was experiencing signs of reduced foetal movement (1st baby, due 27th March) and was extremely concerned that there might be an issue. As I too work at Whipps (on a separate unit) I am conscious of how busy staff are and was initially hesitant to present as I didn't want to waste anyone's time. Within minutes of arriving on the ward I was seen to and Michelle introduced herself and explained the process, she was extremely kind, supportive and reassuring throughout and couldn't have put me anymore at ease given the situation. I was placed on a monitor and when having my checks everyone around me who supported me was polite, friendly and clearly enjoyed their jobs. I am so grateful that all was fine with my baby on the day. This experience has made me look forward even more to bathing my baby (all being well) at Whipps Cross where I too was born. I felt compelled to write this feedback as my experience was such a positive one, I really was blown away by the kindness and level of care I received. Please pass on my sincere thanks to Michelle and her team, you are all doing an amazing job for which I’m truly grateful.
