Prompt care after coming into resus via ambulance.
Door not working that has been put in because of Covid
Blood on toilet seat but a nurse did show me to another toilet and got the cleaner
Treated with respect and kindness
We were given good direction. Not waiting too long. Everyone was clear and kind towards us. All sorted within an hour and a half.
I have no fault whatsoever with the standard of care I received whilst in A&E, the doctors and nursing staff were kind and courteous throughout. I was kept well informed as to what was being done which was very helpful to me as I suffer from anxiety and regular conversations with staff helped ease my nervousness. I was given a very thorough examination and didn’t feel that my care was compromised or cut short. I spent two and a half hours in A&E and it didn’t feel anywhere near that long. I observed staff on reception being very polite and courteous to new arrivals, many of the other patients present were often less than tactful to staff and often complained about having to wait, however staff remained professional throughout whereas (if I were in their shoes) I would’ve had difficulty showing restraint. I felt comfortable during my stay and felt the measures in place to protect against COVID-19 were exceptional, unfortunately many of the other patients present did not strictly adhere to COVID guidelines despite there being many instructions clearly visible (printed on a size substantially larger than an A4 piece of paper), staff would have been within their rights to instruct people to follow the rules but didn’t as I suspect they feared an altercation with the patient which is greatly unfortunate, to summarise the patients were often a source of concern but the nursing staff were absolutely impeccable.
Staff was very polite and explained everything clearly…
The department was really busy. There was an update on waiting times. The usual moans rumbled across the waiting room then some chose to leave. Candidates for 111 or indeed their GP one would assume, but let’s not assume. All staff were polite and the ones I had direct contact with in A&E triage, bloods and on the ward level were professional and kind.
Staff did amazing job at busy time, everyone I saw dealing with people were caring and kind
Everyone was extremely kind and caring from the moment I arrived in a and e,
I recently had to attend the ENT department at Scunthorpe General Hospital under Mr Thiru Siva, what a pleasant man, who was very thorough and kind throughout. He was very approachable and very understanding. The ENT department itself was as efficient as always, as I've had to use the service many times in the past.
The care that I was given was excellent, each person that saw me was very caring
And professional, a big thank you
The initial wait seemed to take a life time (more like 90 mins to be honest)
But after that i couldn't knock the staff at all, seemed to be happy to bend over backwards to help and i was very pleased with been able to be delt with in such a timely manner. Many thanks
