Making me hold urine in a bottle for two and half hours is not right Basildon Hospital would not have made me do this next time. I will be going.
Basildon!
Useless!
Queens A and E.
Why was I told to arrive by 7.30 am and I am still waiting at 9.20 am. The list for ops must be decided in advance so why make people come in so early. It only took about 40 mins to do all the checks and meet the anesthetist so why over 5 hrs early?
All the staff were great - very friendly and professional.
Staff were friendly always introduced themselves.
Good care, dignity maintained.
Very friendly and comforting.
The student nurses were nice.
More (at least 2 visitors) to improve service.
Good environment was good and nurses very helpful. Discussions with Drs and anesthetists were informative.
Triage in children's care within 10 mins for scarlet fever (confirmed 3 days prior) but left for 3 1/2 hrs outside of waiting room where couldn't hear name if called, and despite repeatedly stating I'd brought my child due to him not taking fluids for 72 hrs or having urine output, was not seen any more urgently. Despite lethargy and dehydration, and filling in a fluid chart of only 13 mls in 3 hrs. I had to go in after this time to say he had further deteriorated before being seen quicker. Subsequently admitted. Nicola, children's paeds nurse fantastic, couldn't do enough despite having to put my son through quite traumatic swabs/test. She was lovely.
Too long for child to wait. Doctor good.
