Patients being left to defecate and urinate in their bed because of being ignored, Patients having to wait up to an hour and 30 minutes for pain relief, dirty toilet which Patients were expected to use, being given the wrong medication.
My consultant and the nurses are so lovely and caring at Queens and I have absolutely faith in them.
The care I was given by the staff was great. My only issue was the wait time before being seen. There was no space in the waiting room so there was many of us waiting outside the eye department in the hallway.
I was kept informed every step of the way. Everyone was kind and efficient.

Unfortunately only a couple of nurses were extremely helpful and kind, but the rest of them were rather rude and unhelpful
I was referred to A&E from the Polyclinic. I had a heart rate of between 110-155. I sat in urgent care for 12 hrs with 1 set of obs being done and no ECG. No one spoke to me or checked up on me
It was only when I was finally called to A&E that I saw a consultant who was horrified I’d had no ECG or X-ray done. Within 15 mins I’d had an Ecg done and was transferred straight to resus as I was in AF. I have had an urgent appointment with a cardiologist and am about to go in for cardio version
The staff in urgent are were unhelpful and disinterested. Considering I was a cardiac patient I had no care at all
In comparison the staff in resus were helpful and reassuring and acted quickly to ensure diagnosis and treatment
As a senior nurse myself, I was appalled at the lack of interest and care
All good
Very good service, and very supportive
I felt understood
