I will always be grateful to the whole colorectal team at this hospital for the excellent, life-saving, care I was lucky enough to receive from them. That includes, over the course of more than a year, as both in-patient and out-patient, about six doctors, a splendid radiographer, a lovely porter, at least ten nurses, plenty of HCAs and a handful of very well-organised administrative and secretarial staff. The atmosphere on the ward where I stayed was calm, respectful, safe and positive. The food was way better than I had dared hope for; every corner looked squeaky clean, tidy and well-appointed.

A&E. Seven plus hour waits with minimal information from staff as to why. Patients sat on the floor, hungry & thirsty. Having been sent there by a GP, were offered the option of leaving but having to sign a disclaimer for the department and no clinician willing to state if leaving was clinically appropriate. I'm sure the individual staff were trying, but systemically it's a utter shambles.

Admitted through A&E, which was a long wait. But once on ward everything moved quickly & efficiently. Many thanks to all the staff concerned for my care all over Christmas. I know now that intense pain should not be ignored. Great team from Docs down to cleaners at Basingstoke Hospital.

I recently had a hysterectomy at Basingstoke Hospital. From start to finish I had a very positive experience. I cannot thank the hospital and staff enough for all their care and expertise. Everyone that cared for me was friendly, helpful and caring. I have recovered well from the operation thanks to the high level of care I received. I would highly recommend this hospital to future patients.

I was very disappointed over all by my time in A&E. M initial care from ACP Katy Sharpe was exceptional, but unfortunately when she went off shift everything seemed to slow to a snails pace and the communication was very slow or none at all. The worst was the Orthopaedic Consultant Harker the next day who did not examine me or talk to me. Walked up to me in the corridor ! And told me over the edge of his glasses that I had an old injury and he would see me in six weeks!! I was in so much pain and he did not care.I felt like because I was old he was not interested and did not care about me or how to help me.

My mother is waiting for results from Dr norris, she has been waiting for over 3 months, she is at risk of a heart attack and needs her problem seen to asap, her condition is top priority, but she is still waiting patiently for her results. This is unacceptable and I(her daughter would like this addressed.) Asap. Thank you.
