Staff in A&E and orthopaedics were amazing when brother was admitted following a very bad broken elbow two weeks ago. Outpatient experience at fracture clinic leaves a lot to be desired. No appointment sent - had to chase ourselves to find we'd actually missed it. No communication between departments, staff not realising X-rays hadn't been done but trying to make decisions about care without up to date information. Very damaging to confidence for someone not getting sick pay and needs to return to work as soon as they can.

The treatment given by staff was very patient centred, which is how it should be. I would like to congratulate the staff at the Urology department for their care and concern shown during a difficult and stressful time...of course there were some instances where things could have been carried out better, but it is hoped that in time this would be made clear. Overall, I was privaledged to witness some proactive and therefore effective care...well done!
