Excellent. The receptionist, and Doctor were both really good. Pity that actually getting to the point of having the appointment arranged was so poor.the good review is for the Doctor at the appointment. Arranging it through 111 service would get nought out of 5.

The service we received at the hospital was excellent, however getting to that point was dire. After ringing 111, and waiting 25 mins the first time, and 35 mins the second time (each time answering the same set of questions), we finally got an appointment at the Urgent Care Centre at DRI, at 1am on Sunday morning. I thought my wife would be too ill to go, but she rallied enough to make the appointment. The 111 advisor said we would receive a call from a doctor within 2 hours of my first call to them, so after 5 hours I had to call again and wait 35 mins to get through, went through the same set of questions yet again. This time the "doctor" call came through after 20 mins, with the appointment being made for 1am. Never having been to the Urgent Care Centre before, I rang DRI to ask where it was in the hospital. I was put on hold for 5 minutes, then cut off. I rang again, and after another 5 minutes got the answer. At about 10.20pm. We got another call from the "doctor, a different one), to arrange an appointment. She didn't realise that this had already been done. Both these calls were from Blackpool, and it seems incredulous that the communication within the organisation is so bad.our frustration levels were at an all time high, with my wife on the floor in the bathroom trying to answer questions in between vomiting sessions. The reception on the main switchboard at DRI didn't know anything about the Centre, the first answerer didn't know where it was located in the hospital ! Thankfully my wife was dealt with much better at the appointment itself.

The doctor I saw was lovely and was really helpful, I didn’t wait long which is a bonus too

I thought a swab of my ear could have been done instead of advising me to contact my GP which is almost impossible these days

Dr was very friendly and was looked over and prescribed and given medication needed then and there.

Receptionist was rude, I was in doncaster moving my parents from Kent, I was going back with the removal firm and had contracted a chest infection. I had an appointment and after waiting a hour I explained the situation to the receptionist and told her I can't stay much longer as they are finished and waiting to go home and she responded well that's your choice. Which of course it wasnt. She didn't do anything to try and help me and I had to drive home 6 hours struggling to breathe

Was in total agony with cellulitis - required urgent treatment and it was forthcoming - seen quickly and dealt with very professionally - a great experience!! Many many thanks

would be realy excellent if you could start doing blood tests I wanted my postrate checking I’m worried about this but was told I had to be referred by my go would be nice to see a go told there’s no appointments waiting room always empty even told I had to wait over a week to get my annual blood tests done I had a mild stroke just before I tried makeing these appointments so that is why I recommend you start doing blood tests cheers rob

Service was good when seen. Very thorough appointment with no sense of being rushed out.

Waited almost 2 hours past scheduled appointment time. 6 people in front of me and only two doctors - think time could have been managed better.
