Af5er a very bad experience with 111 when I was dealing with a chest infection I was able to get the treatment and right course of action within an hour with this service which was amazing especially with me being asthmatic aswell a quick response is always required
The on call doctor gave me reassurance and a full explanation of my symptoms
Took a long time to see a doctor, which I know is quite common, I had to go through the gp, the same day health clinic, 111, back to same day health clinic, it was stupidly more complicated than it needs to be. I would place the fault there mainly on my local go who took swabs instead of medicating based on symptoms knowing the swab results wouldn’t be available for nearly a week due to bank holiday. The reception at out of hours was very nervous about communicating with me as I lipread or sign, he didn’t seem to know what to do at all and didn’t give me confidence that I wouldn’t miss the doctor calling my name. The doctor who I saw simply eyerolled when told I lipread and didn’t hide her distain for having to remove her mask for me to hear her. I did say she could just write down for me instead but she just waved me off. Not a very nice bedside manner but she did throughly check me over and proscribed medication which made me better.

I don't have any conditions i had an appointment at 4pm the place was packed .there was a 2 and a half hour wait so i got in at 6.30pm .
The receptionionist was fabulous bless her she had people asking how much longer theý had to wait and she was so nice with everyone .They only had one doctor on he spent a lot of time with each patient he was very good with me .i felt sorry for the doctor he was very busy.
I had an appointment arranged by 111 for 2pm and left work to be seen due to my pain amd discomfort.
When I arrived there was no parking and when I finally parked there was no ticket machine so walked for 10 mins to find a ticket and return.
I was late because if this then to se only 1 doctor on duty and a waiting time of up to 4 hours. I waited 1 hour and had ro leave.
Its unacceptable to think people can give up a day of there life to sot and wait..why give an appeal time
Excellent service, great doctor. Efficient
As I arrived at the urgent care centre the receptionist told me I was booked in. There was apparently a problem with the booking system. He did resolve it in the end and was relatively polite.
The doctor I saw did not introduce himself or his role. Working in the NHS I know that this is unacceptable but personally I find it rude also.
He didn’t give me the time to fully understand my concerns. He was more interested in telling me that a medication I was taking wasn’t for the reason I was taking it (which had no bearing on the reason I was in the urgent care centre anyway). He kept asking if I was sure it was the right medication. When I assured him it was as an off licensed drug he shook his head and continued asking questions not letting me go back to the list of medications I take routinely.
He came across as very uninterested and even when I broke down in tears he didn’t seem to have any caring nature about him at all. I felt worse for attending the urgent care centre.
Answer to which Q?
The booking in receptionist made me feel comfortable and was helpful, the triage nurse was automated but wasn’t disrespectful in anyway.
The Dr took the time to listen to me to explain my reason for being there and explained to me my diagnosis..
As on a previously occasion staff were very pleasant and helpful and quickly diagnosed my problem- was given appropriate medication and all was great.
