There were no doctors even though I was given an appointment time. I was actually told that 1 doctor went home poorly (fair enough) and another doctor just left even though he was supposed to be there until 8pm. This was about 4.30, I was told this by a member of staff. Not reassuring or professional. A and E were sending patients through even though there were no doctors. I understand that it's an out of hours service but surely the 2 departments should talk to one another. The two receptionists were extremely loud and laughing and joking. Not appropriate when patients are feeling poorly.

Departments to talk to each other. What was the point of sending patients from one department when there were no doctors

It was good to have access to medical care and some appropriate treatment without needing to sit in A and E. Didn't have to wait too long. I needed the medical service otherwise I would have been extremely anxious and would have had little option but to go to A and E. So, this service is especially appreciated and essential for issues needing some early medical attention out of normal GP hours or accessibility. It really is essential.

Suggested improvements
No suggestions. It's reasonable to have to wait a bit.

Because you asked?

The food options for those who are diabetic and lactose intolerant are incredibly limited. Many of the main dishes could quite easily be adapted to make them available to a wider audience of dietary needs. Plus hearing the main food options being read out to others when compared to the allergen aware menu is incredibly disheartening. I think this impact on mental wellness needs to be considered when designing menus.

Overall the care when i was seen was very good. The nurse was quick to send me to the right Ward for the right care and she was very eficient in doing so . She was very concernele about my wellbeing and she showed it.

Suggested improvements
Waiting time its very long. Why give an appointment time if i ll still need to be Waiting almost 1 hour over my appointment. I would ve wishes the nurse gave me the antibiotics before sending me to the Ward for operation. On the Ward the doctor gave me antibiotics as i requested a non invazive way of treatment forst and They agreed. I spent 6 , 7 hours on a Ward with no visits , the doctor eventualul visited me towards the end of the day amd agreed to give me the antibiotics before Going for Surgery. I m recovering at home from a groin abcess but its taking a long time .
