I went in where my blood pressure and temperature was taken, the nurse I saw looked at my wound and did not inspect it properly despite me telling her I believed it to be infected due to the green pus coming from the site. She said she would not prescribe antibiotics as a precaution and to ring back if it got worse. I have since rang back and cannot get through. The site has no swollen more, become hotter to the touch and is redder, raised and bump around the outside and is still spreading. It is extremely painful. The medication she told me to buy has done nothing for me at all, it has not even eased the symptoms. I told her I pay for prescriptions but she would not prescribe them despite me explaining I am really struggling financially

Everything, I did not feel listened to or supported. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed

I came with severe back pain - not had before Informed my back was in spasm Could not get an appointment at my doctors surgery had been trying for 2 weeks ! Given painkiller prescription and need a physio Got physio appointment today for 1st August

The nurse I saw was extremely helpful and extremely friendly, gave me excellent advice very efficiently and made me feel at ease. I was also seen very quickly and managed to get the treatment I needed almost immediately which was fantastic.

Overall I had an excellent experience when using this service. The only thing I can think that could be improved was that the initial phone call to book an appointment involved a lot of questions about symptoms which, as I had to call the service whilst on a train, I felt could have been a bit awkward for some patients to answer. I do understand however that sometimes these questions are necessary to get the most effective treatment so this might not be something that could feasibly be altered.
