I wanted to give my answers as I felt it would contribute to further assessments especially for people who are not sure about using these services I feel it would benefit them knowing they can totally rely on your services .
I also have high blood pressure. I also suffer from 50% tonal deafness.
Due to the chest infection I had it raised my blood pressure so they advised having some checks gone but could only send me through A&e which was manic. Before I got sent to the assessment ward. So whilst the health centre was fine it’s a shame they can only send me to the A&e . They did say this is their procedure now so I spent several hours in a&e to be sent home with antibiotics for a chest infection I knew I already had.

Got an appointment quickly and staff were helpful
I was told by the nurse i saw to ‘just calm down’ which really upset me as it’s easier said than done with my mental health. I was trying to get answers for my sweats my burning up and blurry vision and a reaction starting on my hand but the nurse ignored that and said i had eczema. I explained thats not why I’m here im currently having a small flair up due to the stress of being ill and that this is something im more than able to sort myself when i get home as ive had it all my life i know what to do. She ignored me prescribed for my eczema and told me to call my doctor about the other issues. Bare in mind ive come here due to the fact i cant get in with my doctor. Im now in hospital day 3 and have been advised by a dermatologist I shouldn’t have been using eczema creams on my hand as it’s infected and these creams just make it worse its now on my hands and feet.
The only thing that bothered me was;
A couple came in one had an appointment at 12.20 the other 13.45 (this was overheard by all at check in)
The first patient asked if his partner could go in with him instead of waiting for the 13.45 apppintment and the receptionist said she could ask.
At 12.32 the first patient entered and 10 minutes later his partner was called in.
My appointment was 1hour 4 minutes late so I feel this in an unjustified and unacceptable thing to happen. Everyone is given a time and should wait accordingly. Had this not have happened I would have felt more empathy from staff but when I approached the receptionist I was told my appointment is running late and that situation was out of her hands. No if she had said wait like everyone else in the waiting room for your appointment time everyone would grt seen in a more timely manner and it would have been within her control.
Although it took some time from my initial call to being seen by the doctor, he was very caring and thorough
I was grateful to be given an appointment I had a water infection and was struggling great service amazing staff
