I contacted the Same Day Health Centre as I had tonsillitis. I was offered a same day appointment. I was extremely poorly and was struggling to walk in. The nurse practitioner who I saw was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and helpful. I was given antibiotics the same day and as a result I already feel much better.

I was given an appointment at 11 o’clock I’m not seen until four hours later. What is the point in appointment times if they are not going to be kept

I think you need to employ more staff or open the out of hours doctors at Cavendish Court on an evening as well as the A&E one

I do not have any long-standing conditions

I was expecting to see a GP. I didn’t see a GP and I didn’t receive the the best treatment for a problem that has been with me for a month now. I am still suffering and feel like without having access to a GP I am more likely to visit A&E - when I think the main purpose of this drop-in clinic is to ease the pressures on the NHS, it actually feels a bit pointless. The clinician wasn’t able to refer me for further treatment when I feel like I really need it.

I had an appointment booked for my self , and unfortunately my daughter became unwell too . I rang the same day health centre who ensured me that my daughter would be seen that day too . They was very accommodating and made sure she got an appointment around mine so I didn’t have to take two 30 minute journeys. The nurse practitioner that was looking after our care appeared very knowledgeable and attentive.

I arrived and during my wait in the seated area, I was subjected to a male staff member slagging off the system to his colleagues who also joined in with their 5 pence worth. Moaning about workload, Blackpool booking patients in huge loads and so on. The nurse I saw clearly had no clue of why I was there. And when assessing me, clearly had no idea. Hence me speaking with my own GP for clarity. I am a nurse and remain thankful that I no longer work with such people.

You could have read the appointment booking notes so I wasn't quizzed about my concern. And slagging the system/pcn/nhs off whilst I was there is not acceptable.

I was treated very well by all the staff and had a good consultation with the nurse practitioner .

I had seen my own gp 10 days earlier due to intense earache. He did nothing other than advise keep taking over counter pain relief. The gp i saw on this occassion prescribed antibiotics, antiviral and eardrops. All the pain has almost gone now. So relieved. She took my blood pressure as soon as i sat in chair and also checked my blood sugars before i left as im diabetic. Treated me with dignity and respect. Cant thank her enough for the care given

Nothing!!! I waited 40 minutes past my appointment but the reception staff when i asked explained the gp was running a little behind and i would be seen shortly. Not really much of a hardship when you consider how busy they are

I was given a time slot within a timeframe that was perfect according to the state I was in, in two different health concern scenarios. I was also given a calm and positive affirmation by the nurse/doctor on how to deal with my concerns, what to do and what steps I should follow in case of an emergency.

Maybe real time kind of updates/notifications about what is happening with any test/results (e.g. blood/urine) could be an engaging way to keep anxiety off patients. This is because I had to trace my test results to which I was sent to three different departments/institutions.
