My stay was great and the consultant, Dr Kennon, was amazing.
There were some problems with the food and I received the wrong food every meal and it was always late. I am vegetarian but they kept bringing non vegetarian food.
Other than that my stay was great.

I’ve had treatments at a lot of private hospital now and Cleveland is by the the best. The hospital is so clean and the staff are so friendly and caring.
My surgeon Mr Lau is amazing and the nursing staff are so friendly and both always make me feel so at ease.

Staff is professional and kind, but sometimes slow. I had to wait over 3 hours to have an xray to check the right position of the drainage tube in my stomach, to then discover I had to remove it and put another one.

The surgical care was excellent, but since leaving hospital I have been bombarded with calls to pay for unspecified services. For example, on 18 October 2022 the estimated cost of 'package misc. prosthesis' was £3,100, but less than a month later this had grown to £7,075.46. No explanation was provided as to why the cost should have more than doubled.
Also, I was only on the ward for one night rather than the three nights for which I was originally booked. The T&Cs say that I should be due a refund of £725.00 per night - or £1,445.00 in total. No refund has been offered.

I am in awe and humbled on how well I was looked after. My treatment and care was unbelievable. And always done for my goods, and together with me so that I should feel comfortable with the knowledge of my care. The sensitivity, kindness and constant smile on all the faces of every nurse, and the constant encouragement from all the team helping me recover, including the nutrition and dietetic team, definitely helped me in my challenging hospital moments.
Special shout out to the unbelievable Health Care Assistants, Abdu, Alex and Billy. It was your warmth, care, genuine concern, constant availability to listen, understand, sympathise, help me during my difficult moments, and all in all just be so sensitive to my needs. During EVERY MINUTE of my stay.
When I heard, at the beginning of each shift, that my HCA's would be Abdu, Alex or Billy, I automatically felt safe. My care in their hands was something I will always remember.

Facilities clean and spaceous. The nurses were really friendly and helpful. Special mention to Phillips on my floor for being so cheerful with me, and Elizabeth (I think) who was with me when I came round from my general anaethetic. Also felt in safe hands with Dr. Nick the anaethetist and his team, who explained what would happen to me and gave the impression of being very competant. Also my consultant Dr. Vashisht, who is very professional and has excellent bedside manner.
