The lady giving the pelvic ultrasound was great! She told me what she could and couldn’t see and was very informative and put me at ease. Lady needs a promotion!

The queue was long but moved quickly and efficiently. After triage, I saw a medical practitioner who was excellent and thorough. I came away with the right treatment within an hour. Very good explanation and recommendations and contact with my GP.

Was seen by a doctor who didn't diagnose my ruptured Achilles tendon when my gp diagnosed it straight away

I recently found myself in urgent need of medical attention due to severe pain in my back and kidney area. After several frustrating attempts to secure an appointment with my regular GP through the complicated Patches system, I was left feeling helpless and in discomfort. Fortunately, I decided to visit the Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre on Whitegate Drive, and I am incredibly grateful that I did. Upon arrival, I was promptly attended to and soon found myself under the care of Dr. Hartley-Smith. Dr. Hartley-Smith professionalism, compassion, and thoroughness were immediately evident. Despite my initial anxiety about visiting a walk-in centre, my experience turned out to be remarkably positive. Dr. Hartley-Smith took the time to conduct a comprehensive assessment of my condition, leaving no stone unturned. He meticulously examined my symptoms, asked detailed questions, and performed a thorough physical examination. It was clear that he genuinely cared about my well-being and was committed to providing the highest quality of care. What stood out the most was the amount of time Dr. Hartley-Smith dedicated to my consultation. It felt as though I was receiving a private, paid-for consultation rather than a quick, impersonal check-in. He patiently explained his findings, discussed potential causes of my pain, and offered several treatment options. His approach was both reassuring and informative, and I left the consultation feeling confident and well-cared for. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received from Dr. Hartley Smith and the entire team at the Blackpool Urgent Treatment Centre. I liked the tall back chairs. It gave me less anxiety as it felt more private whilst waiting to get checked. As someone with chronic pain I found them much comfier than previous seating.
